 S7 x Real x Head 642.51 :(
So I lost four auctions today, the same guy won all 4 real x head s7 auctions. Paid 642.51 for the set before shipping. wasnt 250.00 retail or something like that?

It's pretty nuts, I was going for the Chaos and got sniped at the end, but I dunno, I'm just gonna keep on trucking very patiently. I'll get mine I fiugre. He/she wanted them more than I did appearantly, or just had the funds to try.

I was a spectator in that today, I knew I didn't have the $$$ to join in.
You knew it was going to get nuts.
I'm actually surprised none of them hit the $200+ mark.

Yes, oceangenie outbid your outbids of other RFSO members and got the entire S7 RxH lot. Crazy money but clearly someone wanted the set and was ready to fight for it. I don't think we can expect RxH auctions on eBay to end anywhere near retail price anymore, especially for generally unavailable figures like that. I'm pretty much content that unless I choose to pay insane prices for such pieces, I'll have to stick to new releases.
EDIT: LOL oceangenie just won another RxH auction. I wonder if that person is "one of us?" If so, they made out with a very nice insta-collection this morning.

I know this isn't much of a consolation, but for what it's worth, your RxH collection is a lot more robust than mine.
Argh, super high rollers. What can a dude on a budget do but keep trying for the things that the high rollers already have?

I still can't believe people are paying the price of the entire set for one figure.
A dude on a budget just has to be patient, stealthy and quick. In that order.

yeah,,oceangenie had the serious snipe action going on...looks like he/she has it down to a science....
i tried for the bb-chaos,,but failed miserably...my last second bid didn't even make it up....
even if it did,,,i have a feeling that the genie set ridiculously high max bids...so even my $100 top-bid getting in there would not have made any difference...

Yeah, and I guess it would help if I didn't have guilt issues about outbidding known RFSO'ers. I just saw a few pieces I'd love to bid on, but I respect the current high bidder and just can't do it. If it were a true "holy grail" I'd consider it, but I'd still feel guilty LOL. Oh well.

I'm only paying retail these days as there's so much good stuff coming out.
Auction prices are ridiculous.

Digitty Damn! Dude's got the $$$ I guess, I'm glad to get what I can, especially at/near retail, the only "older"/past pieces I'm dying for are the S7 ones, but it's just crazy. I can live without them for that price.

I wonder if this will get worse after the Mook drops. It seems totally out of hand all ready. $300+ plus for the clear pink chaosman is plain old stupid.

I agree, especially since I need one, and it doesnt seem that rare, and still 300 plus,. whatever, the hunt continues....

I have to agree with blooddrinker's way of thinking, live without them at that price. When i first got into this stuff i thought i was going to be buying RXH a lot. Now i find myself buying SB. I've picked one figure, Ichibanboshi, and that's all i'm buying from RXH. These prices are very discouraging and i can afford them!

Hm, good speculation about the Mook. You're probably right. As it will feature considerable detailing of existing RxH figures, it'll probably serve to both further popularize them as well as give newer collectors an idea of what's older and rarer.
I just re-read the thread and feel I should apologize to jocappy if my comment about other RFSO members seemed rude. Your enthusiasm for RxH is great. My frustrations are not personal and I'm sorry if it came across that way.

yeah i know it just seems a little excessive to invest that much on something that will be traded out/flipped off.
