Well said, I agree. Once in hand, the thing really impressed me. I asked Hiro about any back story on the figure but apparently Mori has been too busy to share stories lately. I hope you won't mind if I post some of my crummy pics ... please do post yours when you get a chance. Same for anyone who has the black one or white proto.

No clue, although it was called the "secret" release which I take to mean "chase" or "more rare." As it turns out it was easier for me to find as most people seem to prefer the black version. I sure would like to find one!
LASH or BEYOND (or anyone) if you're reading this, does RxH ever give out release numbers? My impression is that most of the neo kaiju makers prefer not to.

"secret" just means they don't show pictures of it until the release day. The secret releases are usually lower run numbers but not always.

either way if we treat these as individual pieces they both are nice in their design. both are beautiful .... I can't wait to see the Mook and what you have Pogue even if we all can't have them in our collection.

lol, no worries. You should have heard Flynn and I trying to figure all this crap out for the Mook. The conversation was a lot of "is this release a secret or a surprise or a prize, maybe it's a sample...." The more I find out the more confusing it gets.

The confusion can be frustrating for collectors no doubt, but I suppose the good thing about not knowing release numbers is that flippers have a harder time determining value based on rarity. On the other hand, an item being very common never stopped a flipper from claiming "RARE!" even if it's not.

Huh, after looking at ScaryAndys sale, ya think this guy has a little Fink Shit in him? Pointe ears, the dumb grin is the same, he even has a similar tale. Maybe a Fink Shit x DBZ x Street Fighter?

Yeah, that's how I see its influences. Ya nailed it. The way the sides of the mouth are grinning is pure Fink Shit,

GOD DAMN! This dude's full of surprises! I just got the metalic black, and noticed a had a green sheen to it, than I twisted him at the waist, and saw that it IS the green Shinto, but with glossy metalic black paint over it, so weird! So it's that minty green vinly, with black over it.

what was the original price? Just curious. I already have one coming for me.
I've got the black one coming sometime this month. Minty green vinyl, eh? That's cool, but I was kinda hoping he was black vinyl through and through--however the minty-ness is interesting. Can't wait to see it in person! He's the perfect size and will fit nicely in the place I made for him on my shelf.
...that one shelf that I'm trying to limit myself to is almost full.
..but damn, it's beautiful!

Man, I finally got this motha-effa! WOW! ...my new favorite figure...dark character with a rough edge to him. half-demon Karate master of the wild, heheh.
The black has a nice shiny-gold tint to it. The red eyes...something about it...very fuckin' cool.
He's too big for the shelf, so now I gotta take everything down and raise the upper shelf up a notch. HE demands it!
Wow...!
...the Rangeas figure showed up with Shintosan, but I've hardly looked at Rangeas. RxH stole the show completely.

Great to hear that you're happy with it, Vombie. It's only grown on me too. A truly great figure. Now we need his story!!!

Awesome! He's definitely different, I like him hanging with my Gargamel Hedorans, looks like they're gonna wrestle.

Weird - popped my black/bronze at the waist, and mine is definitely black vinyl - you may have a real rarity there!
