Post About those Invader vinyls
Okay, you allhave seen the mini invaders on the front page ramos posted today, but do you know where they came from? Many of you are starting to get intrigued by the Henshin Cyborg and Walder figures (mostly because of the SB suits for them) but along with the Walder figures, Takara also made three alien invader 12" figures. That is what these three invaders are. The size is also significant, becuase these figures are made to match the popy 4.5" flying pose style figures that were made for almost all vinyl series. Two very cool inside references that come together for one really cool toy set!

The Charactics Invaders are mighty fine figures. I also ordered 2 of the Takara 12" invaders from S7. Am looking for the Charactics ones to go with them. Damn sweet vinyl.
I have been cycling through all the Micronaut/Microman stuff for awhile as I had a few sets when I was a kid but knew nothing of them at all till recently when I started trawling through the web. That search led me onto the Henshin figures recently.
Just dug out my Micronauts but alas, they aren't as complete or in as good condition as I had hoped. Will visit eBay for a nostalgia fix.

I've been looking for someone who sells the clear color invaders set.
So S7 is also going to make this happen?
Damn Brian, you're approaching Santa in granting toy wishes.

I love charactics - such great colorways

Already had the clear invaders in, and sold them back out, but I can bet we can get more. If you want them we may need a deposit since they are a bit more expensive than usual for the size.

I too would like a clear colour set of Invaders and am happy to put down a deposit.

JHottrod - Those Henshin's at S7 aren't the standard Henshin Cyborg's. They don't have all the articulation. I could easily be wrong, but I'm thinking the SB suits won't fit these guys and the body style that Frank picked up is the style you need for the SB suits.

Thanks moriachi-youre right they wont work w/the SB suits but i did order a 12" 1st Silver from BigBadToyStore-ive received the suit, im just waiting for the fig to come-ill post a pic-im looking at getting the smaller ones too but for now i bought 3-red,green,and blue invaders(henshin cyborg king walders)

For the right SB chassis go to BBTS and put in Henshin Cyborg in the search the 12" 1st silver and 12" 1st gold should both fit

here's my 2 cents that I wrote a little while ago:

I'm pretty sure that the $29.99 Henshin are what they are - they cannot be changed. I saw them in TT and “henshin” is really kind of misleading - henshin literally means "body changing," or "transforming

The henshin that you want are the blanks - - Both Ramos and Peter at TT say that the SB suits do not fit well on Neo henshin cyborg – Peter says that the Neo’s have shin guards and extra pieces.
I have found gold and silver remakes of henshin cyborgs for $44.99 at TT. I just bought silver one and Peter says that they will fit SB cyborg sets

If anyone (Ramos?) has more information, could you help us henshin newbies out?

Now I really want a Toxic Phantom.

Oh they had Simpsons “Tree House of Horror” Busts-Ups – I got the Kang and Maggies one – too funny.

From what I can tell - those 12" that were at S7 are like the "villains". Still made by Takara and connected to the Henshin line. I have two coming - the red Invader and the Satan King. There are six of these "villain" guys about - 3 Invaders (Red, Green and Blue) which make up Series 2 and 3 King guys (Skeleton, Plant and Satan) which make up series one. I'm talking about the late 90's re-issues here too. Got no idea on the vintage releases but I read a refference that the "villain" figures were vinyl and less articulated back then too.

Good henshin info -

Thanks for the info Moriachi - yea, there's a booklet in the silver henshin that I picked up - in Japanese - but as far as I can tell so far ait is recounting th ehistory of the henshin line. I bet Brian will tell us more after the Gargamel is on the store's sheves on the website.
i'm loving the henshin i bought - really quite a bit of toy engineering and great representation of the movement of the human body.

Neo-Henshin cyborg was a very similiar but different and earlier Henshin release, stay awau from those for your suits. What you want is the REPRODUCTION henshin cyborg figures. They are almost always described as "silver" or "gold" referring to their inner organs color.

The henshin cyborg is a blank canvas. It is literally japan's version of GI Joe. You put the suit on it to "henshin", or transform.

The Walder figures were reissued a number of ways:
1. 12" vinyls of all three Walder Kings (Dokuro, Satan and Plant) as vinyl toys with non-removeable costumes
2. 9" Cyborg boy style. Smaller, and done on the reproduction cyborg Jr. style, but complete costumes.
3. Actual reproduction of the Dokuro King with original blue body.
4. Bounty Hunter black and white version of the above repro.
5. Odd microman candy toy repros of just the walder. Actually it was a repro of the henshin bidy and the chases were the walders. I have never found one, only seen pictures.
6. There is a microman candy toy of Dokuro king on a throne of skulls, very odd.
7. The myclone transformer series made all three walder and all three suits, I have 4 of the 6.
8. And the hardest to get, the VFC custom microman suits made in 2003, 50 each in color, and 2004, 50 each in clear. All three walder suits were made in each release.

Oh, the aliens were reissued as vinyls in their three original colors and there were two exclusive versions, a glow (easier to find) and a 100% clear with glitter (harder to find).

Cheers Brian. That's put a bit of it in perspective!! Neo-Henshin's seem to be easy to find...Repro Henshins a bit harder from my looking.
There seems to be more twists and turns with this gear then there is in "Days of our Lives" (that still gets made doesn't it?).

Moriachi (and other Henshin seekers)- places with the gold and silver repros - ToyTokyo $44.99 and
Big Bad Toy Store - https://www.bbts.com/bbts/search.aspx?search=henshin - basically 42.99.
I know there are others but the coffee hasn’t fully kicked in yet.

The grey is a neo-henshin - note the exaggerated shins, not a perfect cylinder like the originals. There are plenty of other exaggerated areas as well, but that is the easiest tell.
