Post alright, now I need some toy ID help
I recently had one of those memories that comes out of nowhere of this toy pen I remember from growing up that looked like a bat and had red ink that moved around inside it as you wrote to look like it was sucking blood. In fact, I believe they were called "Bloodsuckers" or something similar and manufactured by Marchon. can anyone verify this? does anyone remember these? and can anyone possibly help me get on the right path to tracking one down? I haven't been able to find any info about them online anywhere. thanks.

now, get to work!

Hi Skylar,

Are you thinking about Greg-Gory from Mattel? He was a cool bat toy that "pretended" to drink blood and had see-thru veins. He did not come as part of a pen, but you he had a cord to hang him off one.

Gre-gory was about a decade earlier - late 70's. And when Skylar was talking about a Pen - I think he meant a writing instrument not a pen to keep something in like a cage.

Looked like this: http://thegalleryofmonstertoys.com/70sw ... loose.html

Thanks for unfuzzing memory on that, Dr. T.
What a cool toy!
Speaking of monster toys, is your store going to be getting in the
Mad Monster Party vinyl figures by Funko? I definitely want to get those!

Yep - I have the Mad Monsters in and I have one set left in stock right now. Not sure if Funko has sold out of them or not yet - there were only 1500 pieces of each character made.

yeah, it's not Greg-gory. I've seen him before and it's close, but not exactly.

I'm sure I'm just remembering some cheap, five-and-dime junk , but it was worth a shot to see if anyone knew what I was talking about. I'll just have to keep my eyes peeled.
