 S7 Galtan...RFSO?
"THE REST ARE SOLD OUT SO PLEASE DO NOT ASK. CORRECT PEOPLE GOT THE OTHERS. THANKS!"
Just wondering how it's sold out when supposedly it's not officially on sale yet?

Some of them were already dished out to certain people. They aren't all sold out but they might as well be

What? I've seen one, maybe 2 of the other Galtans flipped. If you need to do private sales to stay ahead of flippers, why even announce a release at all?
I'm curious what it takes to become a "correct" person that can actually use this "alternate distribution network". I consider myself a huge (non-flipping) Exohead fan, but I suppose that's not the secret.

The bottom line is any way I released these there would someone that misses out. I made an informal list from people that hit me up and tried to get to all of them. Sorry if you hit me up and I didn't remember.

This is true. For the record, I hit you up twice by email, once by PM. I even tried to get on an "eternal" pre-order list for exohead but it doesn't exist. Perhaps it should?

Isaac invented RFSO. Its his toy. I'm pretty sure he can decide how they go on sale and to whom.
and for the rest of us...you gotta have that ebay trigger finger. That's how I got mine. Good old fashioned adrenaline fueled bidding.

Not being a completist I'm not worried. But I bet one or two might make their way to the board for people who missed out.
I have my X-ray thanks to Ramos and I'm happy to have one. Exo-head seems to be the new "it" company and these small runs are going to be more brutal as the popularity grows.
Maybe talking about these on the trend hunter sites (KR) should be discouraged

He invented the attitude or just the phrase?
He DID decide how and when it would go on sale, let everyone know, then sold most of them beforehand, privately.

Well exohead was already cool with their man machine and skullrexs. I got a few and wanted to complete the set but it seems pretty hard to find anyone wanting to sell them. Maybe i need to nag harder.
Now that i'm around for the newer sculpt it's great because you still have a fighting chance at getting them all since there is only 3 which i now have done heh.
And khanate if it makes you feel better i bugged Ramos alot too and i didn't get on any pre-order list either. I'm sure there was at least a bunch of others doing the same.

Definitely. I've missed out on countless numbers of toys. There hasn't been anything that I've never seen again. Some things were not meant to be. Its the nature of collecting limited items. It goes with the territory.

Agreed - if I got everything I wanted it would be boring. My issue is not the figure itself, it's the business practice applied to it.

I've found that the best way to get on a "friends and family" list is to complain a lot.
khanate, you missed out on the unpainted gid version so you were never going to be complete anyway.

Nice score getting all three! I'm just not that lucky or sharp so going the noncompletist route was best for me. But my hats off to all who nail something this elusive.
My comment about KR wasn't about anyone here per say its just that there people who's single driving motive is to have the trendiest new toy regardless of actually liking the figure, KR seems to be the main stomping ground for these people. But then there’s the issue of letting other people know these great figures exist so I guess I don't have an answer.

I think if you make your own toy you can do with it as you please. It was nice of Ramos to put 13 of them on eBay, but of course no good deed goes unpunished.
Not that I enjoy hitting the refresh key like a cocaine-addicted lab rat, but at least I had a chance. And it's not the my first (or last) time being on the wrong side of "correct"...

I learned a long time ago that you can't be everywhere all the time or catch every release. It's just not possible.
And if you miss out on something, it's not the end of the world.
First, there's too much stuff being offered for sale.
Second, if you're a completist, you're doomed to an unhappy life
and third, if you miss something, there's always a chance it will come around somewhere else.
I remember missing a S7 exclusive. I had fine-tuned my browser and was waiting.
I blinked and it was gone. A month or two later, I came across the exclusive at a reasonable price.

yeah, especially internet only sales.
however, I must say, I've called Super 7 on a saturday from many an exotic location (flea markets, Hersheypark, Disneyland, horror conventions, Target, etc. ) to get my limited releases.
a little dedication is all it takes
