For sure, but the yellowed spots on this match up pretty well with the Bat and they're both evil.

oh, now I get what you mean. yeah, no yellow spots on the S7 set!! Maybe Akro is a distant cousin to the set and not meant to be an addition....

Is there a place on the Intertubez that I can look up and verify the run size before I committ to buying one of these things? The run size is very important to me as I can't make a decision on my own whether something is worth buying.

Thanks in advance.

Release date hasn't been announced and if I understand correctly isn't known yet, or at least it wasn't as of last Saturday. Staff said that it'd probably be released mid-to-late June.

Great idea! That is one of my favourite sculpts so i think it should be done. Possibly a special eye that has an orange 7 in it.

This is the comic book geek in me talking, but this colorway really reminds me of the villain "Holocaust" (aka the more politically-correct, "Dark Nemesis") from Marvel's 'Age of Apocalypse' storyline.

The more I look at it, the more I dig it. :D

I still think a Bigaroid in this color would kill, not enough Bigaroids.

The Akro has always been a great figure, and this just upped the ante. It will look very nice with the original S7 set.

Too many Bigaroids. Too many dogs (the latest green ones? ehhh).
The latest sculpts never really matched the earlier stuff.

RxH needs to explore innards and clear more.

So much could be done in this area.
Stuff much more interesting than just another paint.

Aren't there only 3 Bigaroids? I mean if you're not into the sculpt, I guess "too many", but otherwise that's really not a whole lot in literal terms.

There's four: green, grey with blue, and a silver (or grey) with red and blue, and a yellow.

Like the dogs, I just don't think they work in large groups like the first four sculpts.

Same with the lucky cat. It's getting overdone in my opinion.

But then I also think that RxH is completely overhyped when there's alot of other interesting stuff on the fringes.

only four bigaroid and four sets of dogs. (By any standard that is not very many colorways.) There are probably less than 500 total of each.

Liquid, you should check out http://visibleinnards.org. Maybe you kind find something you like over there.

I for one am not a huge fan of inserts, they seem a little gimmicky to me if they are used to often on fight figures.

not into the dogs and bigaroids myself.

I actually agree with Liquid  ....more clears and inserts would be welcome on my shelf!!

visibleinnards.org rules!

I like the Bigaroido. I just bought one from S7 with my Fungus.

I'm on the fence about inserts. I think they're cool if used sparingly; I think Mori does a good job of making his toys shine on the strength of the sculpt/paint alone.

Yeah, I have an account over on VI and check it out from time to time.

Paper inserts could be overplayed if done too much. But I'm talking about just mixing it up with other stuff inside from time to time. Stuff like other BB combinations, or wires or whatever.

Secret Base has done this successfully with pipe cleaners, and then there was that Spirit Chase. I also liked the results of the Biskup War Drag.

RxH could do stuff like talk to SB and get a bunch of erasers and drop those it.
Or do a clear split with GID flash on one side, clear flash on the other.
Or whatever. So many possibilities and these are just random ideas.

I also like the Bigaroid and have a couple. I just think they don't scale as well as regular figures. A couple go a long way and take up space (like the dogs) versus the early sculpts.

I imagine Mori having a wall of figures and designing figures that balance and fit in with everything else. Clear with paint would probably be my favorite, just saying that there's all sorts of cool stuff that could be done.
