short version : 8 delevopped countries (USA, Japan, Germany, UK, France, Italy, Canada and Russia) try to agree on how to developp/improve a certain number of issues(finance, partnership, ecology, missile protection) between themselves and with the developping countries.

Problems are that :
1. most of the time they have different views about these issues ;
2. most of the time, when speaking about developpment, they mainly try to protect their economy and their leadership ;
3. most of the time, they agree on kicking those protesting people that come from all around the world to tell them there are other countries involved in their decision.

The BIG problem is that the G8 try to control everything else in the world, including the BANKS - NOT a good thing ! Be thankful that there are groups of protesters standing up for thier own rites as well as all those working stiffs that can't afford to miss out on thier paychecks ! What would you have called all the protesters walking hand in hand with MLK ? I think we should all be thankful someone is willing to speak out :D

2. most of the time, when speaking about development, they mainly try to protect their economy and their leadership ;

isnt this the purpose of any government? protection of its interests?
