Thanks, guys!
Not the best pic...it was a bit overcast...there's a lot of shiny silver highlighting in that mottled surface.

That looks great! how'd you achieve the effect inside of the text?
(Not-too) quick overview of what I did...
Took two pieces of plexi, handcut them to the desired shapes (wanted the nameplate to be reminiscent, shape and color-wise, of the chunk of "tilsonite" which Semi-Ningen used to control Garamon in his second
Ultr-Q appearance). Sanded the edges.
Cut a panel with ガラモン printed on it from the side of a shipping carton that one of my ES Garas came in. Had this copied onto a sheet of acetate.
Cut the acetate letters out to make a mask.
Put the box panel underneath what would be the top piece of plexi, to act as a guide for mask placement.
Sprayed the backs of the acetate letters with Remount, and put 'em in place.
Sprayed the masked plexi with two types of silver spray (one gunmetal-ish, one faux-chrome). Removed the letter masks once paint was dry.
The box that my X-Plus "Big Garamon" statue came in had the swirled paint from the title sequence of
Ultraman printed all over it. I selected an area that looked good peeking thru the letters and photocopied it.
Cut a strip from that copy, figured out exactly how it should be placed, then sprayed the back piece of plexi with an adhesive and mounted the strip.
Placed the top piece of lettered plexi over that, applied some CA glue around the edges.
Masked off the top panel of plexi and silver-sprayed the poking-out edges of the bottom piece- done!
