I'm not excusing the ridiculous nature of this, but I don't think it's so much the "gay" part that the military thought would be the weapon rather than the extreme urge to have sex (with anyone) that would cause the enemy ranks to break and be easily defeated. But since all the soldiers are men, and again the chemicals used would make you not care who you're sticking, it just so happens to be "gay." The thought isn't "Let's make them gay, it'll be easy to kill them" rather than "Let's make their hormones go nuts, it'll be easy to kill them." At least that's how I'm taking it. Again, not cool, but still.

The notion that gay enemy soldiers threatened with mortal peril will be predisposed to go wild sexually as opposed to fighting (while US forces pick them off easily) is what made this "idea" especially moronic.

Again, I still didn't take it that way. I don't see the idea as much as "gay soldiers." I mean, think about this. A whole army of people ALL with this physical urge to have sex, MAYBE stronger than they've ever had, whether or not they do it isn't important. What IS important is that there is an entire army who CAN'T focus on killing, it's more of a mental thing. Psycological.

It has nothing to do with homosexuality. It has nothing to do with sex. It has everything to do with making the oppositions soldiers have their heads out of whack to "easily pick them off" which is kinda the point of war, to kill as many enemy soldiers as easily as possible and in the quickest amount of time to make said enemy surrender.

An aphrodisiac thats as powerful as this was supposed to be would have people screwing cinder blocks. It has to be so powerful it neutralizes the "fight or flight instinct " and turns it into "Screw things while US soldiers shoot you".

The gay thing added in as the bomb's front line attack followed by the aphrodisiac is just an example of how bigoted, pig headed, and stupid the US government is these days.

The US government has funded all sorts of wacky, outlandish, even cartoonish research. There's so much money in the military industrial complex that anyone with a dumb idea can get some green to research it. I'm sure that a lot of funding applications are based on theories that were developed over a couple bong hits.

So what happens if the enemy now wants to have sex with the U.S. troops that engage them? Since the weapon is supposed to "curb" the fighting spirit, wouldn't they be within fighting range of the enemy? So do we shoot them? Would they try to rape you when being captured? I don't see how this could be good; but it would be pretty fuckin' funny.

I think the name "gay bomb" is worse than what it actually does. Drop it and everyone wants to bang each other! If you drop a bomb on people that make them want to dance do yo call it "black bomb"?
