Post More M1 questions...
On alot of these lucky bag unpainted figs I see on YJA there seems to be 2 sizes. Std. Kaiju size and then a bunch of them that are not much bigger than a pack of smokes... What gives? Are mini figures currently in vogue? thats about 4 inches high no? Thanks for the help

Mini figures are always in vogue. Sometimes, if you're very good, M1 gives you a mini with a regular release: a mini Kemur with a Semi-Ningen, a little Baltan with a big Baltan - like that!

Over the last 8 years or so, M1 has released lucky bags with standard size figures and lucky bags with mini figures - they've been doing it all along (as well as including mini figures as a "bonus" almost since they first began releasing figures (I think the green semi ningen was the first standard size to come with a painted mini figure - for what it's worth).

So on YJA where they have a mini fig next to a pack of cigs. they've probably come from a broken up lucky bag? Would it be more prudent to wait til you can find the whole bag as opposed to the split up minis?
Thanks!

most (if not all) of the M1 minis are repros of bullmark minis from the 70s.
M1 sells, them gives them away, even uses them as booby prizes at their famous ring toss game that they have at the toy shows. 500 yen for the chance to win a large Vinyl fig in a ltd. colorway but if you lose you still get a mini. awesome deal! Almost all the companies revered on this board have been making minis all along. I think that there is a world of discovery awaiting you if you spend some time poking around the archives of the board.

Welcome to the horribly addicting world of Kaiju minis...
bet you can't collect just one.

To each his own - but there are so many minis and so many variants of each (or at least the potential for M1 to crank out a lot of versions) you might want to pick some figures that you like (i.e. hedorah, mogera, dada) and just try to collect all the mini versions of that figure.

As for myself, I just buy what I like - which doesn't always mean trying to collect all versions of one figure. For example, an unpainted glow dada does nothing for me but the gold mini with jewel eyes is an awesome figure so i picked it up.

You might to also look into Marmit parababies - several i don't care for but some are amazing. They're a bit larger than the M1 minis and usually a bit more money ($10 to $30 each, generally - depending on rarity and desireability).

Have fun with the world of minis!

hi abe. as your shelf fills up with giant monster feet I think you will warm up to the mini buzz. It is a thing right now, but like the boys say. Old and new companies been making them from the start. I xo the minis.
Bwana.
