WOW...that pic is amazing...really (very unfortunately) appetite-whetting...I can't check the KAWS blog right now- do we know for sure about the material? Vinyl, or...?

There's no way I could ever justify spending almost a year's rent on this, but it is pretty fucking stunning.

It looks incredible but to buy it I'd need to sell stock that performs well and sink it into the work of an artist that doesn't seem to have anything to say creatively anymore.

Even if I had a million dollars (which I don't) I'd pass on this as a poor investment.

Its an awesome vanity piece though.

Jesus H. Fock, you'd hope $4800 would include shipping...although you wouldn't expect it.

I'm sure that many of the KAWS hardcorps are looking into selling a kidney, and will lay awake deep into the night, praying that this will be the only edition/colorway. I still really dig all of the Companion pieces, but I'm hugely thankful I broke my KAWS addiction when I did.

shipping on that from Japan will be at least 1200.00

so...since they will all instantly be bought in Japan, the 5-10 flipper pieces will go for at least say 10K plus the shipping....only to have UPX run it over with the truck.

LOL.

Do anybody know now if this if this giant is made of vinyl and its jointed??

If so I could understand the high price for a series of 20pcs.

"The 4-foot Companion figure will cost approximately $2,500 USD and was produced in an edition of 100. Other sources had previously reported that the piece would cost in the neighborhood of $4,000 USD and be an edition of 20, which is incorrect."

I was just in OF today and saw this piece in person and HOLY SHIT!! It was fantastic. I woulda spent all the money I have in the world on it if it wasn't sold out. These are gonna go way faster than people think when they hit kawsone especially if more and more people see it in person.
