I really can't say anything that would match my awe for this. The skulls are a really cool touch.

Fantastic sense of color you have. It really comes alive in color. It's neat how your system works. You do the inks/paint on clear mylar or some plastic material. Do you actually color on the clear material or separate background board?

thanks all. I do love the black and white but it doesn't really stand out on the plexi. I use 1/4" clear plexi. I do the outline on the front and do a reverse painting on the back. I use airbrush and regular brush depending on the effect I want. I may also color and highlight on the front which I did for this piece. The plexi really gives you an illusionary depth effect which really isn't seen in pictures. Hope this helps.

I have a light pointed at the painting I got and I noticed that the black outline on top casts shadow onto the colored background, making it look like a crazy 3D double outline, so nuts.

not really. All the brush strokes and what not would show. It's really meant to be seen from the front and lit from the front on an angle. I guess you could light the back like a pinball machine art but the process would have to be screened on so everything was clean and translucent from the back. I'm probably going to start some carved glass kaiju art on thick 1/2" glass and that stuff looks great in light box.

aaahh, that totally makes sense. i guess stencils and spray would work too to avoid strokes. the pinball effect is nice to imagine. at any rate, melting faces are always good in my book. except when my face melts...hate that...
