One Million Dollars.

The guy that 'won' has bought 6 things on eBay. They range from tanning lotion to a collection of 'Fresh Prince' DVDs.

It's been pointed out elsewhere that he's 'paying' roughly $3500 per Transformer.

Wow. So that's what happens when adults collected toys "back in the day."

Sad story, but damn that's an amazing collection. My TF collection can't even touch that one. :P

As much as I love this collection, 1 million is just way too much. The story surrounding this collection is sad and almost unbelieable. I wonder if the buyer can actually buy this collection??? And the ebay fees must be very expensive! But seeing those transforms that are still MIB wiht their original price tags, damn! I wonder if there's a Japanese counterpart to this collection! But since I grew up wiht the US released Transformers, I think I would perfer to have a complete US collection over a Japanese, that is IF I absolutely HAD to choose  Maybe~

Man, a million bucks.....

There was a Japanese counterpart, almost. There was a guy named 'Nightscream' on the allspark boards. He had an amazing collection of all of the later Japanese releases, including those ridiculous dinosaur cassette-formers.

I would probably take a complete U.S. collection as well. More sentimental value. I will, however, remain content with my Victory Saber set.

you can get them used for a varying array of prices, but this MIB stuff is insane.

i went to botcon a few weeks ago and some of the prices were so crazy. i was kicking myself for playing with my megatron as a kid :)

I've seen one of the rarer Super GoBots go for $300 MIB.
