Hope you weren't offended by the thread drift Decypher. I'm sure the focus will be back on Eyezon once people receive it.

Yeah, I noticed that about the Dorogami too. The blue "M" signifying "Captain Maxx" is no longer legible as an "M." But ya know ... I like it better the way it turned out, with the dark green areas added. It looks more swamp-monsterous and fits in better with existing Dorogami colorways than the brighter originally-proposed colorway would have. Both collabs are total winners, as was the recent Maxtoy/Rumble Monsters collaboration. Mark's got a great knack for "keeping it kaiju" while maintaining his own clear sense of style and color. Sorry for drifting from Eyezon but at least it's all Maxtoy appreciation.

I'm also a fan of the Eyezon, as well as Mark's Pharoahs.

Just as a FYI, The Max Toy X Cronic figures were all painted by Naoki Koiwa of Cronic.

Someone take a picture of those Mavs! I need something to tide me over until Friday-ish.

andy, just to clarify, Mark chose the paint scheme for the Cronic figures and Koiwa painted them, correct?

I can verify that Koiwa-san painted everything. Not sure who chose the color scheme.

Beautiful. Looks even better than the e-mail pics.

I usually like to see translucent figures on white backgrounds, but this one looks great on black. Almost like dark seawater or something.

That figure needs to be photographed in the light, not dark, and not against a black background. The figures look quite similar to the sample shots I've seen. Maybe slightly different (same with the Doro) but not dramatically.

I can now verify that Mark designed the color scheme for the 2 painted figures.

toybot did you happen to take photos of the Dorogami? It's pretty rad too. Interesting how it looks opaque in some light, but when backlit, you can see that it's painted on semi-translucent red-purple (?) vinyl.

Weird about the "clear" Mav.

These look incredible in person.

Didn't know the Dorogami was going to be clear translucent red. The way Koiwa-san handled the paint on the Doro (heavy and sludgy on top then kinda light on the hands) and the Maverasu is just stunning, my Mav has reddish fade feet and hands though.

Looks like a true labor of love on both the painteds. I thought the clear Mav was just going to be clear because the email that Maxtoyco sent described clesr translucent.

Damn that's nice! I almost went for one, but I'm just not a fan of that sculpt. The paint is so great on it though.

I love my Doro though, makes me think of cough syrup kinda. Can't wait for the GID mail order one from around the same time now! Wish I could get the SDCC one, btu I'm happy with the few I can get.

yea, the paint app on the mav is spectacular.
the transitions from blue to green to yellow are very nice,
and the red highlights finish it off well. :)
