Just picked up a Japan package at the PO counter, and noticed they were selling sheets of Marvel Comics Super Heroes stamps.

A sheet has 2 different stamps of Spidey, Hulk, Sub-Mariner, F4, Capt. America, Silver Surfer, Spider-Woman, Iron Man, Elektra and X-Men - one each in one solo/close-up (Hulk and Wolverine in the solos for F4 and X-Men) and one repro comic cover. The Silver Surfer solo is particularly good - wish they sold that one in rolls!

I know that the power company doesn't care that my payment comes with an Iron Man stamp, but it gives me a little smile, so wtf ... The PO clerk said they already had 'holds' on most of their allotment of these, though I don't know if new stamp releases actually sell out or not.

i think i have a sheet of these, i have the original monsters ones too which i like, i heard they did star wars ones but havent seen em, apperantly they dressed up some mail box's as R2-D2, but i havent seen those either.

My buddy who collects stamps has the star wars ones, actually about 5 sheets. They are very nice.
