Likewise!
It was great meeting you and so many people from the board.
So many great moments!
One of the best was seeing the look on Carls face when he pulled his "prized" sb handpaint. Priceless!

Incredible haul. What's the story on the mega-cool Smogun? Is that a Koji custom? I love it.

Yeah, its a Koji custom.
I showed up to Nerdquake fashionably early. When Koji pulled them out of his bag, those who were there all said Oooh... look at that one. So before Mark (Living Dead) finished saying "That One Looks EeeVil," I said I'll take it!
Of course a fight insued, however we somehow agreed to disagree.
... or at least that his hp skullpirate was nicer!
Though, believe me that is debateable.

Well it sounds like a draw then. At least you both got something great, so congrats! I'm totally in awe of Koji Harmon's style. Thanks for the story and picture!

Yes, they most certainly do glow. There are 7 different gid colors and Bwana took them and put them under one of his covered tables and we both lauged at how cool they were. They are the x-ray style. Not gid painted.
The total was 500.00 for the set. Not bad at 71.00 a pop. And they came with a handpainted mini killer drawing. I am so stoked I jumped on them. I started eating a twelve dollar personal pan pizza with like 5 minutes till eleven (he let me in on the release at around 10) and I was so debating it! 5 Minutes later I was back across the convention center in line for one of these things. There were only 7 sold to the public. the others are for vip's.
Bwana did not receive them from Gargamel until Friday morning (he seemed to be surprised that they actually made them) and was literally painting non-stop right up to the convention opening.

That's a cool story, good to see a whole set! I'm glad they're not painted, if they were I'd need to blow more money! Can't wait for some blacklight shots.

Just so everyone knows that Black handpainted Smogun by Koji WAS SUPPOSED TO BE MINE!!!!! IT WAS STOLEN FROM ME. Okay maybe not stolen, but I did call dibs on him, but I guess money talked louder and I did get the choice of HP Pirates over stealthtank so I figured it was only fair.
GREAT SCORE all around

I had that smogun in my sights, too. Stealth had the quickest draw. You can't win them all. Still got a badass smogun.
