haha, no worries. This isn't my home town, just wear I currently reside (moved here for work)
But I gotta say, for now, I do like living here. Far enough away from the strip and stuff for a normal living and close enough to all the activities and shows and junk that I can always go out and do something. Long term, I seriously doubt it.
And about moving the Con here (LVCC?), sure I'd be stoked since it is so close, and there are pretty much endless hotel rooms and plenty of convention centers, etc, but damn is it hot here in July. I guess it matters less if you are indoors the whole time but still.

I actually hope they move it to Vegas - it'd give me more of an incentive to check it out. I'm sure SD is nice and all, I just wouldn't choose to "vacation" in SD.

I have talked to some people and from what I hear the residents are getting tired of all the gridlock and wayyy to many people during SDCC. Its grown too much for the area so I have heard 2 places, Vegas or LA.

moving it to LA isn't going to make it any less people or gridlock. Infact, the gridlock will be worse. I'm sure the movie studios are exerting their influence to move it to LA. Seems like they are getting more and more prominent.
Also I just heard it mentioned again today on G4 about a possible move to LA.
whatevers.....SD, LA, Vegas, all works for me. Just not Cherry Hill, NJ

I heard something about this on G4TV when they covered the SDCC. I wouldn't mind it soo much if they did that. It'll make it easier for me next year to do SDCC 08 since i have relatives there

LA, SD it's all CA to me living on the east coast. Not that Vegas is THAT much closer, but I just like Vegas' style, and I don't even gamble or drink. I'm just there for the neon and Elvis'. Also it's where I was married spare of the moment, so it's got memories.

The lines for the Tim Biskup signing was pretty long, we weren't moving for about an hour! I was 31st in line.

Like said above, the coverage on G4 mentioned the possible move to LA for next year and they also said that there were 40,000 more tickets sold this year than last year. The con had to be insanely crowded this year.

I watched 5 hours of coverage on G4 and they made no mention of any kind of vinyl at all.

Good! Not to be stingy, but there's enough competition for this stuff as is. Ok, I do mean to be stingy

this is true, but when you are 3000 miles away you're hungry for anything

Sunday and Wednesday preview night were the big shockers for me as far as how many people showed up. I guess the secret about those being the slow days got out.
Personally, I love San Diego and how easy it is to get around on foot near the convention center. The idea of transplanting the event to LA bums me out a bit. Vegas might be interesting though.

I have been to SDCC ever year since 2003, Thurs thru Sun.
Usually, Saturday is insane. Not so this year.
Sunday was way busier than last year, which was surprising.
Thursday and Friday seemed the same to me, crowd size wise.

That's funny because on the "other board" people are praising you guys for being the most efficient, customer friendly and best to deal with throughout the entire convention!!!
