 USUGROW IN SF, NEXT WEEK!!! Probably most of you know but just in case, USUGROW will be having a show next month from 8/2 to 8/30 at Upper Playground in the Lower Haight, 252 Fillmo if I remember correctly. He will only be around for a few days so go early if you want to have a chance to talk to him in person, he is one of the coolest guys you will ever meet.

The gallery hasn't had much to say in advance of this show, but I'm assuming that pen and ink drawings or flash are specifically what will be sold. Check http://www.fifty24sf.com/index.html during the show to see if they put anything online for sale. Usually they do when prices are high enough that in-person attendees don't buy everything. I don't remember clearly, but I think that they may wait until a show is down before putting leftovers up for Web sales.

do you have to rsvp or any of that other garbage to go to the opening reception at upper playground? never been there for the opening of one

No rsvp needed. Sadly i think the preview list is kinda long so everything might be gone by the time the show opens. The cover of the last Jux didn't help matters much.

hm... dammit. i emailed them well over a month ago (maybe still not in time) and never got a response back 
oh well. if i miss out... a nice consolation will be a signed book

Lisa and I have been buying paintings from them for years and sometimes we still have to pester them for information. I think I had spent $1000's before I even got on the mailing list. They are a great company but there growing so fast details often get ignored.

I really wanted to go, but my post sdcc broke ass can't make it up there for tonight and the weekend. I put $500 aside just for it too, but got caught up at sdcc, and used it. Don't want to start dipping into other funds.
