The book and almost all the art were sold at the pre-show. Usugrow left the opening about ten minutes into it. I was there for an hour but he never came back during that time. No need to stick around if everything already sold I guess. The gallery gal seemed embarrassed by this but said "check back in September" regarding the book, which is weird since show monographs aren't reprinted. Maybe I got it wrong and the book is not a limited monograph.
Anyway, the art is over-the-top awesome, and there's lots of it. If anyone in the area or who will be in the area during August can, do try to stop by and check out the drawings. I know I'll be revisiting a few times. Sure do wish I could have landed that book. Oh well.

I was told that only three pieces remained unsold at the beginning of the opening. I believe they were small calligraphic pieces. For detailed information you should contact the gallery. I would assume that all is sold by now though.

i spoke with Usugrow and he said the first production piece was going to be released in October. He thinks it will be a clear grey vinyl. If he had it his way, it would actually be taller, like 9 or 12 inches tall!!!! Right now, I think it around 7 inches tall.

I really dig that shirt. Some cursory internet research shows that I can get it online and possibly at my local Metropark. I'd be surprised but I'm going to investigate.

Clear could be cool but I really love the stark black look to the prototype.

Thanks for taking the pic of me, Kirkland. Usugrow is very cool to talk to. Great guy; very laidback. Still, I'm glad they supplied some beer to pass the time while the left to go eat!
