IMO equating someone who is German with Hitler is unacceptable. Its like saying all Muslims are terroritsts. I'm surprised and saddened to see this on a board devoted to toys, and iin a response to a comment about toys. Perspective is lacking.

Growing up, I was blasted by nazi imagery in association with emaciated hollow eyed concentraion camp footage, where bodies were piled upon bodies and man's capability of inhumanity to man was introduced to me. As a result, whenever I see nazi imagery all it conjures up to me is revulsion. As a result, I find the comment above pretty fucking sad.

I have never done a 'pro nazi' piece. the stuff i did for that London show was basically anti-nazi. The BBC and The Times loved it I got great reviews.

anyways, James Jarvis is British, and his toys are made in China so why is there a thread started here to blast his work?

Back to teh toys: I really like this James Jarvis piece, and was sad to find it sold out early on. I have a huge Jarvis collection and a bunch of originals...so I am a big fan...and as someone said early on, it is a pure distillation of Jame's potato-head aestehtic.

By my comment I meant I'd like to see Frank and others other western artist/toy design do more WW2 pieces, for both sides in parody print or designer toys.
I can not fathom the horrors of war, I have not been in one and have seen enough fottages of what the Nazis did to the Jews and other groups.
By no means do I mean to be insensative, hence the Nazi in quotations taken from the posts, but I honestly find the imagery, art and history of German WW2 very interesting.

that jarvis toy is cool, I'm not a big fan of his character toys, but i love seeing peoples' collections when they have a shitload of them.

Sometimes I try to do things and it just doesn't turn out the way I wanted to. I get real frustrated and I try hard to do it and I take my time and it just doesn't work out the way I wanted to. It seems like I concentrate on it real hard but it just never work out. Everything I do and everything I try never turns out. It's like I need time to figure these things out.
