Calling all of those good with software or math skills.
I would be interested in seeing some pie charts or bar graphs regarding the participation of members on this board. It shouldn't be too hard to generate based on the "memberlist" information.
For example, you could have different breakdowns based on username (number of posts, percentage of overall posts, etc.) all based on how many posts certain people have made here in relation to the overall number of members etc. (there are an incredible number of members with 0 posts).
My suspicion is that any half-way decent analysis would show that about 80 to 90 percent of the discussion on this board is confined to only several dozen (or fewer) people.
Anybody with Microsoft (or whatever else program) skills game to try and show this graphically?
I'll bet it would be an eye-opener as to how "small" the active community here really is. Not that that matters, but prolly good for perspective....

you can click on any users profile and see post counts and average posts per day.
for example mine is:
Total posts: 2411 [1.92% of total / 5.05 posts per day]

I really don't think we need any type of graph or anything to tell us that.
If you're around its pretty obvious.

Yes, but I want to see overall analysis.

I don't think it is neccesarily obvious. In any event, what's the harm?

I'm guessing you'll need to produce said analysis on your own, as I don't think anyone else cares.

Why would I care how small this community really is?

That is a stupid, completely deflective, and paranoid response. Why don't you try really doing the math, just for fun?

Why are almost all of your few posts directed at tearing this place apart?
Really.
I thought his post was funny.
What is paranoid about it?
Where I'm from we take the attractive new blood and take them into a dark room....

Because you act like it is the word of God (or whatever other supreme being you may or may not worship) when you talk about things here.

Only 5 (five) of your posts are about toys so far.

There is no healthy place that can't accept honest criticism.

See my above post.
A long time ago I wished for ignore on this board, then I wished for it again..
Then I just saw the whole place as a giant arena for entertainment.

That's because it is.

Can you make a 3D graphical chart representation of that? Don't be so freakin' lazy...

I think you and I define "fun" a little differently.

People don't respond well to someone that asks them to do pointless things. You want a chart, so you ask people you don't know to make one for you because you can't be bothered to figure out how to do it yourself...can you understand the hostility now?
Welcome to the boards!

Fine. Sorry this seems to be such a sore spot. I will try to figure it out myself. And post the results here, as well as on other relevant sites.
