Hell yeah. Love it.
Now they just need to find a way to fit those wings on the Blobpus body...

Not into the Blobpus costumed one (I forget the name) but this rocks! Those wings remind me of King Diamond for some reason.

haha i knew you would love this Toybotstudios. There are already way too many big blobpus pieces, a whole line of mini dokus would be killer. They can incorporate all the good stuff into this one piece. Make it clear and mini with the cool cyclops eye and we have a winner.

There was also a clear green unpainted mini Doku.
I thought the Blobpus/Blobpi set was pretty nice as well, if not too different from the recent Toxic CG set.

Very nice and more manageable than the larger figures (of which I have a couple that I really like) which take up so much space.

Yea, I totally need these Kaijin Dokugans to face off against my impending Kaijin Blobpus army.

Anyone know where these can be obtained other than ebay?

hmmmm, interesting Rastafarian colorway. blobpus must have been high when painting these. I can't tell from the pics, is the guy on the right opaque or some kind of dark clear?

The colors don't work well together at all. My 2p. I definitely like the figure though and I'm sure some better colors are in the works (c'mon, it's got bat wings - deep dark black is obvious!).

To my eye they look like a 'deconstruction" of the red-yellow-green Hawaii colorway, especially the one with the translucent green base vinyl. Not sure if it's "working" or not but I think it's interesting. The sculpt is solid, that's for sure. Looking forward to future treatments. Nice to have another kaijin figure from Blobpus.

This would make for some killer Halloween colorways, too. Hint hint, Blobpus guys.

Oh yeah, I was fantasizing about how some of the past colorways would work so well for this one ... the early metallics, Black Stream, Chinese New Year, Atomize ... but ... bring on the new! Just the eye alone. So many possibilities.

Hm, intersting point. We know the cool story of the Kaijin Blobpus' inspiration, but without a Dokugan costume counterpart, what is Kaji's context for the new figure? Why does it have boots and fists? Although I would have preferred mini-Dokugan to Kaijin Dokugan, I do like this sculpt. It's just that like you I don't really think of it as a Dokugan at all. It doesn't have the same connotations or "feeling." The photo analogy to Gene Simmons' costume was pretty much spot on. The figure rocks but ... on its own. It only relates to the original Dokugan superficially.
The classic first Blobpus sculpt remains the best, although I think most people have love for Blobpi too. I don't know if "baby Dokugan" would have worked. I don't want him to be cute ... he's sort of scary/mystical and that's what makes it work.
