I got one of those too. I had never seen it before, but I haven't really been pouring over the Wonderfest pics out there.
Does anyone know any further info on this Company/line?

I like the sad face with my exclamation. Sunshine outside, but it's raining indoors.
I'm not sure where the Cool Zone toys come from, or ever what they are supposed to be. They're listed as Ichibanboshi (i.e., the RxH Ichibanboshi) products, but I was under the impression that Ichi is only a store. I'm curious to see what the vinyl feels like- sometimes that provides a clue as to where it comes from.

Heh, I had to get one too seeing as i already have the first "Brain Joe" one. This on is too good to pass up.
Cool Zone is a line by Ichibanboshi, a vintage vinyl store in Koenji I believe.(I've been there, great store)
I also got the mini Garsharp set.
Anything Garsharp is next to impossible to get, so I had too!

Paul, who's the gold guy that came in that set?
K-T's description calls the set the "Gamera Non-Confrontation set". Is it another scrapped Gamera foe?

The total number is 30. I just checked. Each one comes with a numbered card. I imagine this includes the portion that S7 is going to sell.
(The SuperFestival set also comes with a numbered card. That set was limited to 15. Same for the first "Grow in the Dark" set, if memory serves.)
The thing about WF is it's mostly a garage kit show. A number of independent sofubi companies were there, but not the fan base, which (I imagine) was scared off by 40,000 garage kit seeking otakus and 2 KM long lines in swelteringing heat...
So, the situation was relatively few sofubi companies sold through their stock. At the same time, there were plenty of dealers roaming around buying. That's why such a ton of stuff from RxH, Blobpus, Cronic, etc made it onto auction sites (and KT).
One sofubi shop owner I talked to yesterday had few kind things to say about WF and may not attend next year. SuperFes, WHF, etc which are much smaller, are often better for these kinds of companies.

Spill it Paul.
What's the deal on that guy? What movie was he supposed to appear in?
I'm praying for a future non-metallic version of that set.

Very interesting, andy. Thanks for the insight.
So 15 were sold at Wonderfest and 15 (most likely) reserved for S7, then?
EDIT: The green one is called "Dorome."

Well, I'm not sure if it's quite 15 for S7, but I would think that would be the max they'll be getting.
garadama - this is actually the 3rd Dorome release. Exact numbers are not released for most Cronic figures. Sometimes the header cards are numbered (like with the 2007 TTF Zyurai Asu) or cards are included (like with the Nerd One figures) but for the most part numbers are secret.
However, since everything is painted by Koiwa-san (He still doesn't use a "factory", unlike Blobpus, RxH, Secret Base, etc) the runs of most figures are 20 or less.

Right, well, I think a "what's hotter" question would be a great way to derail this thread. A lot of us are fans of both companies. Probably better to leave it at that.

Me too, it'd go great with the SDCC Dorogami. I really like the pink Dorogami a lot too, it's super neon looking, I passed a BIN on YJA last night, too broke, but one day I hope to nab one.

The Dorume is my new favourite sculpt right now. The blue painted and unpainted are so nice, i should have the orangy brown one coming too. This new green painted one is hot.
