this thread RULES. So the Majin Bander first apperace was on the Cpatain Ultra show?

Wow, I had no idea such a cool toy was made from such a cool character. I really didn't even know his origins, but I've always been into him. This thread is great and needs to keep going!

EDIT: Actually, I'm full of crap. I guess I should research before posting. As far as the shows, Majin Bander was a year after Captain Ultra, but Majin Bander was done by Fuji TV and Captain Ultra done by TBS (Tokyo Broadcasting). I'm not sure about a Captain Ultra manga (I assume there was one, but not positive), but as you can see by the pics in the thread, there was definitely a Majin Bander manga and it came out years before Captain Ultra was shown. I always thought they were connected, but it doesn't look like they are.

Well, then that ties everything up nicely.

What's the story with the head with the big eyes and wings on the side of his head? Majin Bander is so badass!

Haha -- Nice score, mangakaben. I had him in my cart and I should have just pulled the damn trigger. The next day, when I saw how big he was (in Frank's collections shots), I went back and he was gone. I'm trying to build up a GID kaiju mob and he was going to be a part of it, but I decided to pass. Kinda regretting it now, but I'm glad he went to a good home.
