Post What time should i go to Rock the Bells?
http://www.rockthebells.net/

going to Rock the Bells tomorrow (San Francisco)... mainly to see The Roots and Rage. I haven't a clue what the other people sound like (well the others i have heard of, I don't really care if i see them live or not. not a very big fan of seeing hip hop acts live). just wondering if any of the earlier acts are worth going a little early for (before 3:30). thanks

dude you have to see wu-tang! ahhhasdjkahdsascfljbnadvb. I was going to drive down for this show but plans fell through.

If you haven't seen Q-bert yet i suggest you check that out. The guy is a robot and everyone should witness his live show at least once.

Also Zion I is my favourite conscious hip hop act so check him out too.

haha i think he's there, i saw his name on a list for the concert.

k now that i see the image.

If you like funk check out blackalicious. They have a huge following with their unconventional style and straight funk they inject into their shows.

Mos def and Talib Kwali are also very talented and socially conscious.

Also Hieroglyphics are prolific!!! They made that jam "93' till infinity" which is a quintessential track for hip hop heads. Watching them would be a testament to the oldschool for sure.

I loved the latest Sage Francis and Blackalicious albums, and of course The Roots are an American classic. Dang, I don't think I'm going to be able to make it. I'm so out of it ... didn't even know about this. Man MURS and Doom, too! Ack.

got back a little while ago... review? RATM kicked ass!... played all the hits you've grown to love and wrapping it up with "killing in the name". made everyone who performed before look like something out of a high school talent show (except the roots of course)

I hate music festivals, but DAMN that's a line-up! EPMD!?!
This reads like a list of what I listened to throughout the 90s (minus a few names), and I still listen to a little of that stuff today (Doom, Wu-Tang).
