How about fingerlike appendages for locomotion?

I like the fingers, not crazy about the wings. Keep it up though, it's fun!

I am completely in love with the lil guy in his eye! Thats great!
No so sure about the fingers myself. Unless he was some kind of finger puppet thing.
I liked Pickleloaf's idea with the arms coming out the side. But that might all be too heavy with the horns, wings & arms off the side.
Unless the wings were back more in the side veiw, say like dragon wings instead of ear wings.

In an effort to make the design a bit more cohesive, I repeated the chitinous horn motif with the legs and arms. Makes a bit more sense in terms of the physiology of the thing, but I think it loses some of the wacked-out feelings generated by the fingers.

The horn-legs suck. Better:

I like the horn arms better than the wings, but still not sold on the finger legs. I was thinking tentacles as well, but that seems sort of over done & obvious.
Dunno really...

Maybe 1 big foot. Or a big handing coming out of his underbelly, like Thing from Addams family. This thing is so ridiculous (not an insult) I've stopped thinking and just started throwing out crap.

Ridiculous is part of what I'm shooting for.
I LOVE the ridiculousness of the Popsoda figure. I'm trying to get some of that postmodern WTF design-for-design-sake vibe with my creature, but I seem to be stuck in the traditional form/function track.

Wings is anything at all, but make look small and useless looking, sort of vestigial. The horn arms don't do anything for it.

Dropped the arms, brought back the useless wings, and added four (?) stocky, elephant-like legs:

Does it have to be Meatwad-esque / bodiless? I think it would look much better if that was just the monster's head. No tapering slug wedge body. I would add a humanoid body with elephant legs like those up there. Not sure about what the arms would be like, but I think a more fully formed kaiju would look cooler.

The body doesn't necessarily have to be sluglike. How about a somewhat more defined expressionistic frame like the Gas Bawer?

like the little wings, don't like the elephant legs, but do like your idea of body more defined like gas bawer! keep up the rad work!
by the end of this, we will have him looking like a Mutant Evil in no time!

Made the body a lot less drippy and more defined and added a large, bony plate on his chin:
