come on people! For the most part, this board controls the market... I thought. But the current trend is getting re-fuckin-diculous. Cut the shit people, these are toys, not house payments.
Maybe i'm just jaded because I apparently can't afford these Pirates, but for serious,..... settle down!

where did you see the Pink and Rusty go for this high? I see the Copper right now, and we all know about the HSP...but the highest I saw each of the others go for was lower than both of these prices...
did I miss something? I'm following it with horror as well...I'm glad I got my pink pirate before things got this crazy...I needed that puppy for my collection...

I pretty much know for a fact the highest Pink went for about $285...since I'm the idiot who paid it...
I was able to trade for another for my friend's collection not long after, but I just wish I'd waited...I thought that $300 was nuts...little did I know...

You might be right but I have tried to pay attention to almost all of the SkullPirates that have been sold on the bay and none of them, from what I can remember sold for anywhere close to those prices, except of course for the HSP, but $700.00 for the Rust, now that is just wacky!

I could have sworn I saw those prices for those pirates.... They where both on "My Ebay". I just asked my wife and she confirmed that she saw these winning bids as well, but now they are nowhere to be found..... WTF!
I see the $232 rust... But I swear the first Rust and the first pink went for those prices....
maybe i'm just going nutz. I'm honestly scared...... hold me.

yeah, WG is right...
the price I paid for the pink was the highest, and the highest rust went for around $450 or so...
either way, the prices are disgusting...but I paid what I did for the first pink I found because I needed it for my pink collection...people pay what they pay for something they want (or need)...
there's no way to prevent this...I'm just thrilled I have a Pink one for my shelf now...and glad I'm not such a huge PH fan that I'd pay 2G for a SP...I think this price will always stick in all our craws.

The prices will come down over time. These auctions are in no way indicative of what these things will sell for in a year or two when people have all but forgotten about them and moved on to the next hot figure.

btw - i have both pink and rust and I would never, EVER sell them...they're TOO dope to let go... Even if my band couldn't sell any merch at our shows...even if I had a band.
