I'm not sure that's actually true in this case....
It sounds like ALOT of people have to be on board for LASH to get his run....
I would fund it for sure...I am completely serious...boy's got skillz.

Personally (and no disrespect to LASH) I would rather see a PKxRxH collab. PK's been around longer and is more well known in the Kaiju "circle" as it were. He's done a lot more credible work.
That and the artist hs to pay for the figure run so hence my reply about the money. Figures are not "fronted" by the manufacturer.

Well someone tell PK to get on it!!! (And LASH too!) I think I'd probably break my vow not to enter the RxH market if that were to happen.

Dr. T-
I definitely didn't assume that the manufacturer fronts the cash for the blanks.....and I am offering up the cash if LASH can't muster it. In terms of what work is "credible", if you mean someone's experience in the Kaiju "medium" I could certianly see that point.
But LASH's work on RxH in particular....is MORE than credible in my book (I realize you are one of the SB OG's..... But when I see LASH's paint finishes and creative touches to Mori's figure designs...its just a sensory overload on a couple of colorways in particular. A few of those LASH Evils are just amazing....
In terms of PK......I would LOVE to see this collaboration too......he is definitely the Jedi.....
One can only HOPE HOPE HOPE...right PK??

I bet if we all pre-order paid upfront for the RxH LASH figs we could fund the project.

Wow thanks everyone
All I can say is, let the people speak. I cant ask for this to happen myself (rules). But if you guys would be in I would be in to do what ever the size run. What it boils down to is if Mori wants to do it or not. And with no way of me talking to him its kind of hard. So if you guys keep talking about it maybe it will get back to him and the project will come to life. That all I can hope for. It would be a dream come true !

I really hope this comes to pass, Lash. I don't think I've encountered anyone with a more obvious love for Mori's stuff than yourself. I hope your're rewarded for your efforts.

Before anyone gets too excited and worked up... I would venture that this isn't something that you get to decide on. I would think that it would be something that would need to be initiated by Mori first, and not by others since the figures are his product and he has the final say.

I dunno...from Frank's description....it sounds like he initiated the request, and then had help from Japanese speaking folks from the board....and has never actually even talked to Mori.....
No?

I guess a major concern would be could LASH do a consistent run? Paint every piece to look as much like the next to be similar to production? Not questioining his talent but rather abbility to be consistent on a large # of figures. Frank seems to have gone through all that with other toys and mastered it by the time he got to RxH stuff. They're the best he's done, imo.
I'd love a LASH x RxH figure though, I hope it happens.

Did you see the white evils Frank did? In one pic all the ones you see looked different.

Yeah, but these and the Bigs all look pretty much the same.

Frank is a very well established vinyl artist that has a LONG history in the field. As much as people might appreciate the custom work that Lash has done, I don't think anyone can really say that he has nearly the same cache as Kozik does...

I think that's kind of a cool thing about hand sprayed stuff....each one is a tiny bit different. In some trades and purchases, when sellers have quantity of a figure, they've been really cool and even offered pics of both to see which spray I'd like...given a choice.
In terms of LASH and potential for consistency, I think it would be completely cool if he did a lower run figure as some sort of secret release (maybe to piggyback on an S7 general release?) so that the run is 15-20....this way Mori can judge for himself if a larger run still exudes the quality expected....
Frank's latest run of the Pickle Surprise has really impressed....even going from the Bigaro to the Evil figure the sprays have gotten even more intense...

I'd say that's pretty much THE other main factor.

i concur. if i made a toy, i'd be thrilled if kozik wanted to do a few customs mainly because it would give me exposure to his market. if i let just any fan who likes customizing my toys do it (even though they are very good).. it would be diluting the brand. that's my two cents. (although nike has made shoes successfully from their top customizers... so i dunno)

Look at the spots on the left arms, all different.

I highly doubt a LASH run would have Any problems with quality.
As far as sprays go..... a tiny bit of varience is one thing....but a RXH run should be REALLY close...not easy to spot spray variations.
As a matter of fact I think Rich would go OCD on each piece..... getting them all REALLY close to matching spray patterns.
Most of the LASH sprays I have seen rank up there with my fave official RxH sprays.
If LASH did a run they would surely Rule and sell-out...period.
ANYONE else spraying ...I could see reason for concern.
As far as LASH being a nobody in the "Art" world...."Fuck Art....Lets Punk!!!"
That said...it is ultimately Mori's decision as far as who does what with RxH officially.

Sorry.....I have passion.
Anyway, so kinda to re-rail this thread, will these blank releases be the flesh toned ones? I didn't know if that was ever confirmed or not.
