Wow. They succeeded in coming up with something worse (much worse!) than the H8 King SkullBee/Brain figures.
What a turd.

I really have no problem with this guy, i'm into the kawaii stuff a little.
I agree with everyone else though, this does not seem to be fitting for SB.

This figure actually does a great job of capturing the dogshit sound and feeling of the post 1983 Disney Schlock that is Jerry Only's Misfits

at least there is a trace of ironic charm in a M vick action figure.
As someone who is just as down with alot of the Japanese cute & evil scene as the kaiju scene I can truly say in my informed opinion that this should be melted down and made into Dun###'s.

Not that I am hip but I just checked and it sounds like the toy matches the band Osaka Popstar perfectly... a hot steamer from a poodles bottom.

I think you guys are missing the whole point on this thing. It was *not* designed by Hiddy - it was designed by some girl named Mari-chan who did all the designs for those cutsie characters all over the Osaka Popstar stuff.
It is only being handled *through* Secret Base as the guys at MisfitsRecords wanted to produce a toy and we (Balzac) suggested Hiddy could find a molder/sculptor and hook them up with a production factory. I don't even know if it is going to be sold through SB in Japan or not. Normally the MisfitsRecords figures are only sold through the MisfitsRecords shop.
It is pretty obvious that this figure is not aimed at the Secret Base "regulars". I expect a totally different group of fans to be buying this.

methinks your expectations will be fulfilled.
It will sell, as long as it's not directed at the folks who buy "regular" SB stuff...

Hiddy could have helped get the figure made without associating the name "Secret Base" with it. But I guess exposing his brand name to more people is a good thing (for him).
This is one of those things where you can either "keep it real" or make the smart decision. Hiddy made the smart decision to spread his brand name. I woulda made the "bad" decision and kept it real by keeping my brand name (if I had one that was already moderately successfull such as SB) off of this.

Actually, MR's just added the SB logo. I haven't seen this advertised on th SB site.
Anyways, I don't know why I am defending this thing here anyways! I just wanted to make it clear where this figure was coming from since I had some inside info.
So, everyone can continue the 'hate on now'...
