Junk Spot "Fruitty Pebbles" Chaos chase figure
In a couple of weeks at Junk Spot in Japan, one of the coolest Chaos colorways is set to be a chase figure if you drop $180 for a set of 3 unpainted flesh vinyl figures, and your set contains a lucky ticket, you get to buy this:
Hiro has announced that S7 will not be getting these, and hence, no shot domestically at the chase figure....
I think this chase figure would sell briskly on YJA for $250-350.....all by itself. My question is...HYPOTHETICALLY.......what if S7 could guarantee you a full set, chase figure included? What would you pay?
Would you pony up $300 for a full set of 4 that included the chase?
(props to Miami for the Fruitty Pebbles moniker....)

if super 7 said they were getting these I would pay 60 each so 180.00 plus the chase so 240.00

I'm not gonna go YJA ballistic for this thing, I like it, it's cool, but there are SO MANY Chaos figures out there, most I like more than this. Why would I pony up that kind of money to a no good flipper? I'm not saying this figure isn't cool, but I don't think it's the coolest, not worth the trouble.
"Would you pony up $300 for a full set of 4 that included the chase?"
I'd buy a whole set from S7 if I KNEW I was getting this guy sure, AND I'd keep the whole set too.
I think a better question is would you "pony up" if it was still lottery and no one was sure they'd get the bonus or not?
For me, I can't answer. Part of me says "YEAH! Give it a go, if you don't you still get some cool toys" the other part of me says "You don't really want to buyy 3 $60 figures that are unpainted do you?" I think, like many purchases, it'd be impulse. So I guess I would. I'd say "nope" until the second they went up for sale, than break like the sucker I am.
I just hope most fans who win this guy KEEP him. I know that's a romantic point of view, but I'd rather the guys/gals in Japan who win these guys hold on to them, be real fans. But of course we all know a few will be flipped.

do we really need threads like this?
buy what you like. who cares what someone else will pay for it? you know what your limit is and that's all that should matter.

Of course we need "how much will you pay" threads, so we can gauge what we'll be slamming on YJA soon DUH!

Why let KR have a monopoly on horrid "how much would you pay" threads? Maybe they'll share their trade scammers with SB as well.

I supposed I already knew that my original intent in starting this thread would get twisted up like this, before I even posted it.......
The question I am asking is simple... IF you're one of many RxH collectors that might venture into auctions looking for this chase figure, would you pay the price for a full set of 4 figures, if that's the only way you could get him?
In other words if S7 offered a set of 4 WITH the chase figure would you buy, if that was the only way to get the limited figure?
I only brought up the auction scenario, b/c that's where this figure is likely to end up via flippers......
Joecappy is the only one whose answered this question, his reply is he wouldn't pay more than $240.
Anyone else?

Probably not but you never know.
Basically there are so many releases that paying that kind of money on the newer stuff (even though lottery level rares) it would ultimately take all my disposable money.
Its possible I'd do it depending on my mood but unlikely, however, theres likely many who feel differently and I'd guess in today's market it might be a $500 Chaos..

Yeah, I'd probably pay $300 ... given your condition that there would never be ANY other way to get the Fruity Pebbles. Tough tho - flesh is probably my least-favored unpaint color.
But ... we know YJA and/or eBay will always dredge up a few, and there are no guaranteed 4-sets.
Now - Would I pay $300 for a guaranteed 4-set if I also had the option of buying the Fruity Pebbles figure alone for around half that? Maybe not ...

Agreed... sounds like a preamble to "well, I've got the cash, so it doesn't matter... ha ha ha!!! Check out what I got on YJA!"
