I don't really think a club would work, you would have loads of resellers in the club. it might actually make it more expensive.

Yup. Flipper City. I'm just grateful that we have a great resource in Super7's relationship with RxH.

That's how I feel, S7 hooks it up for most stuff when it hits, so I'm pretty satisfied.

I'm also concerned that more sofubi companies are studying the Secret Base model of aiming for maximum exposure and maximum release sizes. I understand companies want to expand and prosper, but a consistency of quality needs to be maintained.
I don't have a problem with sets, if they're well done, like the S7 RxH set.
About blanks, I think Gargamel has the right idea of charging less for them - 1800 yen for the recent Rakugaki mini blanks - and more for painted figures.
Still, Real Head's prices - 3800 yen for most figures - are reasonable, and a lot of the recent releases - SDCC Chaos, Fungus Chaos, etc - have been excellent. Plus the paint quality continues to be excellent, and the QC hasn't suffered (as far as I can tell) with the higher production numbers.
I guess we'll have a clearer idea in the coming months about the direction Mori wants to take the company in.

I think with the wave of unpainteds people have forgotten about some of the cooler releases this year. Bruise, Fungus, S7 Akro and Bat, the Green painted set earlier this year, SF Red/Black Chaos and Red/Gold R.Ninja. There've been a lot fo awesome choices this year, but only since the RxH expo have we been getting these plain colored figures or totally unpainted. Hopefully it's just a phase.

yep! I rather have few painted releases a year rather than a bunch of unpainted releases every other month. Quality over quantity.

Unfortunately this might unintentionally rub some the wrong way, but as a brief rant, the more I see of people lobbying for this-or-that thing that "Mori should do," the more I think that Mori should just do whatever Mori wants according to Mori's plans, desires, and understanding. I like that not everyone can get every release. I like Mori's colorways for Mori's figures. I do like some of the customs and collabs and even have some, but when all is said and done, I like Real Head as Real Head more than Real Head x [you-name-it.]. Real fan shit only, you know? It wouldn't surprise me to see more and more people want a piece of the action or want to co-brand as the popularity increases. I know that these ideas come from enthusiasm for the figures and a desire to collect more of them, and that's all essentially good, but I'm soooo glad that RxH's business model is an auteur thing, not done by committee-of-fans or those with a glint of gold v-color in their eyes.

Oh I totally agree with you there! In fact I was sort of surprised to see all the enthusiasm for the latest round of flesh figures. But yeah ... the painted figures rule them all!

That's why I bought the flesh Shintosan ... with the intention of having it customized, but once I got it onto the shelf with the other Shintos, I had the same feeling I do about the painteds ... can't do it. It looks good nekkid.
Besides, Shinto is a fighter and doesn't take kindly to being called "Fruity Pebbles"

I don't think anybody is telling Mori what to do, just voicing ideas and concerns (in a constructive way), which, IMO, is a healthy thing as long as it isn't just a whine and cheese Entitlement Fiesta.

Mori is planning to release flesh versions of all his sculpts this year. Most people on this board can do the math and figure out what left and will be released at super festival.
