Looooove the Jinja-R sculpt. I know M-Joe is the more popular of the two new sculpts but Jinja-R is also way cool, and got an excellent introductory colorway IMHO.
I'm sure the Popsoda fans will be happy too.

Yeah me too, but I still haven't gotten one. Still feel it's missing something . It's tough to say no to this one though.

I'm not too keen on the head of Jinja-R but yeah, that colorway is REALLY nice. It looks incredible when you have it in your hands and look at it and might be the reason for me to pick one up.

how many of the jinja-r s are there??
Is it wrong to want something rare... basically I collect cause I want to have something YOU dont.
I know, Im a sick man.
but seriously, I hope RxH does not further dulute their brand.

I believe this is the first production release. Protos were shown earlier in the year. If I'm wrong, please RxH experts, correct me.

Think you're right, also one of the flesh ones should be Jinja.

I see what you mean. Frankly that's one of the things I liked about it ... it could almost have been an S7 collab or exclusive, with the black and orange. However, the actual hues are slightly different from similar-looking RxH colorways. One of those "gotta see it in person" things.
I really like the head shape. The "face" is so mysterious, and the top of the head looks sort of like a melting Mutant Evil. Then there's the oddness of the body.
Nobody else has ever made a toy that reminds one of the Michelin Man. Nobody!

yes it is a "gotta see it in person" thing. some of that red is much deeper in color.

this is why I hope these companies never release info on run sizes, you are obviously collecting for the wrong reasons

Well at least you're out and open about it, that's good. I don't care why other collectors collect, so I can say I don't care. I gets what I wants and that's all I need to care about.

I wasn't jazzed about the unpainted figures, but the paint adds quite a bit to it.
To me, the black on the heard looks like some strange helmet that's stretched open to reveal the "face" underneath. And then the "face" underneath looks like it would peel open to reveal more like an egg from Alien.
I'd also like to see it in profile as looks as if the "antennae" or "ears" or whatever slope backward.
It would be an added bonus if there was some articulation at the elbows to mess around with as the forearms seem to have some angles, but I doubt it.

Yep. Cause at the end of the day, offline, I'm left staring at and owning what I bought all by myself. Not with some internet group for support. I get beat up regularly by friends who don't understand what I collect so I really have to be into it and able to defend it or ignore their comments.
Finally, if/when the market shifts and something is no longer considered cool, or whatever, if I'm really into it, I won't care where the crowds or if prices crash.
Finally, I get beat up regularly by friends who don't understand what I collect so I really have to be into it and able to defend it or take their cutdowns.

Sounds like you need to collect new friends.
When my friends come over they usually end up googling over my collection. And even more, the customs I'm working on over in the work area across the room from the collection.

yeah, right. Collect what you want is correct. But knowing the quantity release can tell us how much we should pay for it. Knowing it is some sort of exclusive, or collab . We may willing to pay a bit more of it.
Well, may be this is how the trick works (marketing strategy), boost it is rare and created noise; but then sell as many as possible to make bucks later in the market.

But who is making the money ?? NOT RxH !
So I dont think thats the case. Its always been a thing to release a rarer version of any figure. So this is nothing new. Its all about the hunt and a zen like feeling of chasing the impossible.

I collect "rare" figures for the same reason I want to bang that really hot chick. cause not everyone out there can say they did her.
The same reason I stay away from sluts who everyone has been with, there is no thrill. I just dont want it if you can have it too.
The romanticism is in the chase for me.. why the hike is more valued to me than the view at the end. The same reason the grass is always greener and the same reason I insessently stay by my computer for hours, days, etc on end. If anyone can stroll in and buy the figs I obsess over, there is no point in obsessing over it.
I believe this hunt satisfies my most basic human desire to want the best for myself and my family. I have found the best and most desirable things in my life ARE rare and I have had to work my ass off to get them.
Im sure you all can tell by now I have an absolute love for kaiju, vinyl toys, etc etc.. and have gone out of my way to provide RFSO prices and love sharing my info with anyone interested.
I really hope I can stay interested in the new RxH market in the coming months. I feel as though I have lost a piece of myself.
(I dont wish to stray anyones current thoughts on the brand, the opinions expressed here are mine and mine alone. Thanks to those who PM'd me letting me know im not crazy and not alone.)
my 2 cents.. hope it explains my outlook without offending too many.
