Wow, all I can say is... WHAT THE FUCK HAPPENED TO "MY MTV"!

This has got to be the single worst award show ever to be shown on national television... or anywhere for that matter. When did ALL the morans at mTV decide that the Vegas idea (not the city but the jumping from suite to suite thing) was a good thing... their brainstorming department should be taken out one by one! I have ADD (as most of us do, right) and I felt like I was on drugs trying to piece together the garbage they threw up on the television....

Who the fuck comes up with this crap and how are they still employed?

Sorry, I just finished trying to watch at least 30 minutes of this and now I want to throw my TV out the window!

I WANT MY "old" MTV!!!!!!!

bring back remote control and Adam (Hockey Hair) Curry!

Oh that's funny. He was at my office a few months ago. I had no idea who he was and asked the receptionist "who's the hair?" LOL. I guess he's still trying to form a business based on his co-creation of podcasting.

When I think of old MTV, I think of Martha Quinn. :-)

So I finally saw this on streamed video and it wasn't the complete disaster that I imagined. Yes, she was lip-syncing and not making dance moves as if she practiced for 30 hours. And yes, she has gained some weight but she probably looks better than 80 percent of America in a bikini.

I was just expecting more of a trainwreck and didn't see it.

Sloppy. Lazy. Yeah.

MTV sucks ass but they got incredible marketing out of this.
I never follow the video awards and I followed this.
Much more than the Madonna kiss the other year.

Not a fan. Don't own any music. Didn't care for her years ago. Ever.
Just saying... as they say...

I didn't think it was that bad. Sure, she can't move like she use to. Hell, she's fat now and out of shape. Her lip synching may be off, because she's out of breath for being "fat" and out of shape.

That crying britney fan is creepy. thought it was a girl at first that needed to take care of some facial hair. yeech!!!!

Is it that she's "fat" or that she's "normal" and shouldn't have been wearing too-tight skimpy underwear for the performance? As the production crew's story goes, they had a nice one-piece "corset" outfit for her, but she insisted on wearing those Frederick's of Hollywood thingies. They also say that she missed the main rehearsals, only to show up for the dress rehearsal drunk. Yikes.

Honestly, she's still in far better shape than the average American. She's probably within her target body weight. So yes, normal - and normal is better than average.

(It's sad when someone of Britney's current body type is considered fat. She put on weight, but she's far from fat.)

All I can say is I would rather see Britney's half assed performance than hear whiny ass Kanye complain about one more thing. That guy is the biggest douche of all. Did any of you hear that he said if the bible were written today he would be a part of it because he is so important to society today. What a turd.

HAHAHA I know. Sometimes I think it's all part of his act, you know act bigger than you are, but than sometimes he seems like he means it. Also I think the guy is WAY over hyped.

Also can't stand the fact that one of the biggest singles off of his new album is just him ripping off Daft Punk. Chalk up to another person making a buck off of someone else's creativity. Can you say another Puff Daddy in the making? At last year's European VMA thing he didn't win best video and got up on stage while the band that won it was making their speech and pissed and moaned that he should have won because he had these celebrities in his video and he spent all this money on it. Kanye is a skidmark on the underpants of society.

Now yer talkin'. What good memories! The anti-Britney. Unglamorous, not pretty to look at, no silly Chorus Line-like dancers, but roots-based talent, down-home humor, and an honest vibe between performer and audience. Those guys were great!

Kanye, bleh. He's closer to Britney, being a "product," except with a heavy dose of obnoxious hubris thrown in. What a loser.
