 a very strange question
Has an employer ever asked you to take a
"performance factor indicator interview"?
And, if yes, can you tell me the types of questions they asked you?

It sounds like one of those personality tests where you answer a bunch of weird, vague sounding questions which gives your management an idea if you have the persona to perform.
Questions like:
"Do you leave work at the end of the day with un-finished tasks"
"Do you create task list every day or week?"
"Do you plan out each day the night before?"
"How do you prioritize your work?"
It's a sham. Just answer "None of your business" on each question

We had these at work not too long ago. It's either a paper test where you fill in circles, SAT-style, or you do it online. It gauges the personality and working habits of all employees so the company can figure out which of these traits are shared by their best-performing employees. They also give the same test to job applicants to see if their profiles match those of their star employees.
I fucking hate the idea of it, the idea of a machine somehow accurately analyzing the personality of a human, and being reduced to a set of numbers, but when they gave one to me at my job I did it truthfully. No sense in shitting where I eat, so to speak.
I went for a job interview a couple of years ago, and they gave me one of those tests to bring home and send back in. Less than an hour after the interview they were hassling my agent about when I was going to get it done, etc. They actually called her twice in one afternoon, trying to find out when I would get it done.
Although the job interview started out very well, when I finally met the person I'd be working for I was pretty disappointed by the experience, so the multiple calls pretty much cemented my decision not to work there. I filled in the dots randomly and sent it in. Never heard back from them. My test results probably looked like Hannibal Lecter's.
