Random (may be better on the other board) but what the hell!
Anymone else collect Galactic Hero Star Wars figures? They are easy to find (most), packaged well, super inexpensive, and dislpay nicely... Kind of sound like [expletive deleted].
Anyway, I picked up this Hammerhead yesterday, and now I think I wanna get an army of these little SD dudes.
Thoughts, Hate, slam, why did I open this garbage thread?
Some of them are so obsure and so BAD ass! Brings my love from collecting star wars back a bit... these and the Funko Star Wars Bobbleheads that are being released!
1. HAMMERHEAD (picked up yesterday with Cantina Band member)
2. Durge (Never heard of him) but looks like a bounty hunter meets Shredder, meets Cobra Commander... One amazing looking bad guy with two huge guns!
Taun Taun
Tuskin Raider:
BLACK Droid (varient of regular droid)
Ponda Boba (are those chin nuts)
Emperor Palpatine (Lord Sidiuos):
Logray (Ewok)
Red Imperial Guard:
I'll post more when I find other good characters.
anyone else share the love???
Post em if you got em!

I love them, but never got into collecting them. Maybe because I just opted for the larger Medicom VCD's, but I think they're cool. I don't really connect them with anything from "the other board", just Star Wars man. Anything Star Wars is cool to me though.

Yeah, I saw them. I saw that holo Vader at Wizard World too in Chicago when I went. I'm not a bobble head dude, but they're cool.

I love 'em. They are the only SW I collect anymore. I plan on giving them all to my kid, when he's old enough.

PS: Durge is from the animated series "clone wars" technically an expanded universe character.

Probably because there's more acceptance of Star Wars toys than the sorts of things you'd encountered objection to, possibly because Star Wars toys are one of Super7's specialties, and possibly because there are people like me who don't care for them but don't feel any need to rain on someone else's parade.
As a side-track, we'd recently joked about the Jar-Jar tongue-sucker toy but I just remembered another that I wish I'd picked up at the time. It was a tie-in to The Phantom Menace but evoked Return of the Jedi. It was a little plastic Jabba that came with a bunch of miniature frogs and a jar of green slime. You'd fill Jabba up with the frogs and slime, then press a button to make him regurgitate them. Really funny, and probably the bane of the parents who had to endure it.

Also in the comics, and YES he IS a bounty hunter. Note the big symbol on his chest, we've seen it on Boba Fetts shoulder............hmmmmm.?

I love these guys, but I'm AFRAID TO BUY ANY! I know that after buying my first pair that I'll be hopelessly hooked. Hammerhead is the coolest looking one so far, though.
Did you ever see the first carded sets? Many of them came with vehicles like the Naboo Starfighter and the X-Wing (which are making a comeback in some of the upcoming boxed sets), but they had an added bonus in the form of "Force Action" - essentially magnets embedded in the Jedi characters and their enemies. You could push Obi-Wan towards a Battle Droid and it would fall down.
They even did a thing with the Wampa where his eyes would get all googly when Luke used his force magnet on him:

Another thing regarding these guys, something that Matt Doughty from Onell Design pointed out to me: they're essentially gashapon. They're not being sold like gashapon, but they're at the same price point and use the same construction method. Those Unleashed minis are done the same way.
I wonder how well they'd do individually, in capsule machines, in malls and arcades.

That set with the Naboo Fighter really tempted me. I'm sure it isn't impossible to find, but I have so much stuff already...
I always wondered what the Episode 2 Jedi Starfighter would look like, since the fighters and the Falcon deformed in an interesting sort of way, where all the weight of the design is to the front.
(Yes, I think about this stuff a lot.)

The Falcon is so fun to mess with, i love thefixing of the hyperdrive feature, the toy plays samples and one is the hyperdrive going off line, you have to use these tools to fix it, when you do it right a green light comes on and it makes the hyperspace sounds, these toys rock, and I picked up the transformer one too, the marvel ones are hit and miss, but I did grab the Galactus one!
