I'm avid collector of Japanese hardcore punk. Show your collections of records if anyone here has one or just talk about Japcore. Here are some of my favorites from my collection;

I always felt that my toy collection would be HUGE if I didn't collect records...but I guess either form of Japanese vinyl is ok with me!!

I don't have any Japanese hardcore anything in the way of music, but I'm interested to see how they roll.

...actually, I have one Melt Banana CD; they came to my home town to play, but the venue got shut down before they could go on because of a fire code violation. I waited and waited for the scene to clear out. Cops were everywhere barking at people to go home (I think they were a bit too hardcore about it) and then MB pulled up in their touring van to get some stuff. They sold me their latest CD. the guitarist was a real nice guy. Cool CD too.

Every now and then Ill listen to Romantic Gorilla, Jack Vs Killer, Corrupted or Beyond Description but I grew out of that genre in the late 90s. I still like seeing Melt Banana (9 times total) but I have not pick up anything new they have done in years.

As for Japanese stuff today, I still listen to Zeni Geva and recent KK Null works, Boris and Ruins, but it largely noise or an occasional Acid Mother Temple less musical release.

you're barking up the right tree...mainly into the older shit like The Stalin, Aburadako, Kuro, Outo...any of the raw-as-fuck ADK records stuff etc. I posted a link here a while back to some brutal HxCx classics if you want to do a search.

Dude Jack With Killer destroy!!! Absolutely amazing hardcore from a band that did only 1 7" and some compilations and tapes. Right on! Corrupted are heavy as fuck!! That "El Dios Queja" 10" on Tag Rag from Tokyo is great!

Yeah Kuro rule.."Who The Helpless?" 8" is a classic! And Outo first 2 ep's rip. The ADK shit is great(LSD flexi,Tam 7" w/flexi,Coma "In A Coma" 7",Aburadako 7"flexi,and the almighty Gauze "Fuckheads" 12").

It's great to see that there are some toypunks out there.

Some bands you guys should search for on soulseek are Lip Cream,GISM,Boris and some noise bands are Masonna,Merzbow,Governmant Alpha,MSBR,Pain Jerk,CCCC,and Hijo Kaidan.

Yes, I know of these artists...I mastered a CCCC boxset that was just released on No Fun and I know the Boris folks - nice people but not really my thing even though the last band I was in was constantly lumped in with that doom shit...you probably dig the Gai and early Swankys stuff too, eh? I still freak out and trash the house when I put those records on...(j/k but not really)

Yeah Gai and Swankys are great! Did you get that Sieg Heil LP of demos from the post-Gai/pre-Swankys band??? I still think the best band of that Japan noise punk genre will always be Confuse though.

shit, no - knew nothing about it! any ideas where I can find this? Confuse is the band that actually got me into Japanese punk. Do you remember when someone mislabeled the Nuclear Addicts flexi as a "demo" and sent it around masquerading it as a satanic-metal band called "Antichrist"? They changed the track titles to read like what they imagined the lyrics were if they were english ie "tear down the cross", Charles Manson was innocent", etc. I think it even made it in to Metal Forces demo column with the joke-info. Insane!

Honestly I have never heard about the Confuse demo passing as a speed/black/thrash metal demo...funny story though.

As for that Sieg Heil 12" it contains 8 tracks which were originally released as the "Nazism" demo released on Violent Party Records. This vinyl reissue was released on Overthrow Records out of Ichikawa,Chiba Japan. I had to preorder it and spent about $18 for 1 copy through Record Shop Base mailorder shop. I took a photo of the cover and scanned the insert. Hopefully the scan comes out clear enough. If not just save it on your desktop and enlarge the text/scan.

If you want to buy one first of all good luck only 600 were pressed and sold out just on pre-orders. Second if you do find it get ready to pay $50-70 for a copy. If you are gonna look on ebay for a copy search for Japcore,Confuse,Gai,or GISM. Because of the name(Sieg Heil)ebay will delete any auctions with the name due to some anti-racism act they enforce.

Yeah Prank did do the Paintbox 7" and a couple of Crow records and 625 has done a slew of Japanese hardcore bands(mostly current)but there is an underground scene of hard to find shit from bands that did only 1 record and nothing else in the 80's. Hell some bands(Cruck the most notable)never released a record, only comps. The rabid fanbase for these unknowns is small in comparison to the hardcore punk scene as a whole but we are dedicated as fuck.

PM me and I can get a tape out to you(sorry I hate cd-r's)of some rare and obscure hardcore punk that even Devon Morf knows about!

Here is a list of bands that to my knowledge only did 1 record:
*Janky(7" flexi and split 7" flexi with Mad Conflux)
*Mad Conflux(see above)
*Sha-London "Shortcut to the Hell" 8" flexi
*S.C.U.M. 7" flexi
*Mologu "Romance" 7" flexi from 1984(produced by Tam)
*Brain Death "Personal Affair" 7" on Selfish Records
*Bitousha "Hiromi's Party Part 1" 1-sided 7" flexi
*Ziga 1-sided 7" flexi(also known as Ego)
*Clay "Middle East Combat Area" 7" on Dogma Records
and whole fucking lot more!!!

Is that Stalin "Niku" flexi an OG??? If yes that is the only record on your photo I'm missing. I especially love the one on the top right(Kikeiji "Pressure" 7" flexi on ADK ). Hopefully your copy comes with 2 inserts. If not I can copy them for you!
I'll take a photo of some records totalling(is this even a word) 1K for you

the Stalin flexi is the ING-004 version...I think there was 2 diff versions. easily one of the best punk records ever made! I do have the inserts in the Kikeiji flexi...really need the other one from them with the other hideous (read: amazing) cover. You must have a serious collection, eh? I have somewhere around 100 LPs and 40 7"s of this stuff...not much but I've weeded out all the ones I don't really "need" and kept all the stuff I can't live without. Most of my collection is in storage though, can't fit 20,000 LPs in a 750 square ft apartment!

not to hijack your trheade, but...

Why do you find it necessary to type your posts in bold?

I don't think there are many blind posters on the board.

Just curious.

I like the way it looks. Not hyping or anything. It's something I like for me. It's an option when posting on here. If others don't like it,well too bad. I do the same thing when I email people. I guess it's also easier to read. I wear glasses and sometimes I have to get my damn face close to the screen just to read a post. It makes it easier for me.

Nope, the first one with the mutant is the one I NEED BIG-TIME...saw it on YJA once for about 12000 yen but couldn't afford it at the time.
