I'm totally not into BxH stuff, but it does make me think, because I think MOST BxH looks pretty "Western" (not why I dislike it, just not my thing regardless of East or West) but then BxH gets so much love.

Not saying anyone here is down w/BxH just for names sake (someone else will no doubt say that) but just playing devils advocate I guess. This is probably one of the cooler BxH things I've seen, btu again not my thaaaang.

i like this a lot, and honestly have nothing against any western pieces just because they are western.

but after looking at it after painting, i'm not sure anymore. i don't know what it is.

maybe i dont like the red mixed in with it?

anyway, i'm not an eastern exclusive kind of guy. true, i sold off all my western toys except for franks favorite mcsupersized, but i'm into things for what they look like and just as importantly if they match other things they will sit beside

what humors me, is the very 1st piece of Japanese "neo kaiju" is the companion piece to this... Kid Hunter, which looks VERY western.

I think I can argue my way out of this. It's loved cause it's an Eastern take on a Western figure. Completely conceived and produced in Japan.

Yeah its smooth and bubbly so the Pushead types will hate it. To me, it has a Mr Potato head feel to it with seemingly snap-on eyebrows, nose and more. This seems original and fresh, with a slight edge, when compared to Sket-1's pirate and all the baggage associated with that.

I still like some Fowler, Woodring, Biskup, and Jurevicius. I don't hate them.

No matter how hard I try, it's not a black and white world. There are grey areas.

Has BxH ever said they are Neo-Kaiju? or is that a term some people on here have applied to them?

This is at the top of my "gotta get" list right now. It's amazing how much like the Kid Hunter it is considering the span between them.
