New Joe's Special (it is an SF thing)
my grandpa used to make it for me all the time when I was growing up and there is a restaurant that has it is a couple blocks away from where we live. I make it when Glenn is out of town since I can't get him to eat it
ground beef - spinach - onions - garlic - egg

Pork Rinds. Preferably Porkie's blue label (traditional seasoning) brand (indiginous to Wisconsin, but the best I've had.) Makes most of the stuff posted above seem like health food. I was vegetarian for 17 years, believe it or not, and I succumbed to the siren song of flesh.

Cho Dofu or Stinky Tofu.
It smells like shit. It tastes like shit. It makes your breath smell like shit. It's really spicy so it makes your sweat smell like shit. Sept' every time I'm in Taiwan it's one of the first things I get. I hate myself for loving it.

Unfortunately, yeah, sort of. I think they're disgusting but there's something viscerally satisfying about how the weird sugar frosting that doesn't even taste like sugar sort of melts on your tongue. Meh, the more I think about it, I guess I don't "like" them.
I wasn't really made for this thread. I eat healthy real food as much as possible. Just trying to come up with something.
What's "gross" anyway? I love good sushi but that grosses some people out. I would never eat dog, the very idea repulses me but it's a good dinner in some countries. I tried piglet intestines fried in blood in central Mexico once. Hated it, but those who grew up with it thought it was a tasty appetizer. When I was heavily into authentic Mexican home cooking I used lard for some things per tradition. Many find lard disgusting but they eat processed crap that's a lot worse for you. The stuff I made with lard was delicious IMNSHO. Same with mayonnaise. My best friend thinks it's the most disgusting thing in the world but I think it's okay now and then on the right sandwich.
Oh! I like corn dogs. Are they considered gross?

Not just the South sir, I went to the Iowa state fair and they had it there too. Any REAL fair should have this stuff.

You win the contest. I've had something similar in mainland China. It smelled like horseshit, but tasted not bad.

this could have been the grossest thing ive attempted to eat.
I tried my fucking best to try to eat as much as possible.
so did the 2 others I was with.
we didnt make it.
Theres something about the smell versus consistency that made me want to vomit.
in same breath I will say that I think Mcdonalds breakfast is great!

How can I explain something I don't understand myself?
Something about onions hurting the gullet.
Anyway, White Castle is only good if you can't get to White Manna. The jewel in the crown of scenic Hackensack New Jersey.
Fresh beef, fresh onions(or without onions if you're Skylar), and fresh potato rolls. A little ketchup and some pickles on the side and you're halfway to paradise.
While you're in Jersey and eating gross/delicious food don't forget to grab a deep fried hot dog from Rutt's Hutt, Clifton Hot Grill, Johnny and Hanges, or River View East(try the "sauce").
Still hungry/living? Stop at any Jersey diner and grab a plate of Disco Fries(cheese fries w/gravy). So good they'll send shooting pains down your arm and jaw!

My ex-girlfriend ate cold hot dogs with Hellman's mayo. She loved it. I loved Altoids so much those days. Not for me mind you, I won't eat them because they have gelatin in them, but thankfully she didn't have any of those hang-ups.
I eat very well. I don't care for "gross stuff," texture is a big deal to me, if it is slimey, or covered in grease it won't be going into my body. But you guys enjoy yourselves!

Kare Kare is actually a favorite of mine. I think you're talking about the condiment that goes with it which is bago-ong. Kare kare is actually not nearly as gross as another Philipino dish of ours like Dinugoan. I wont go into whats init
The other stuff you mention I havn't tried.
I'll toss in the Irish or is it Scottish delicasy Haggis..

You have to love those flips. They'll take the shit that's usually thrown out and make a dish out of it. traditional dishes comprised of heads, chicken feet, guts and blood. Serve on large banana leaf and eat with the hands. Mabuhay!

When I watched a show (Andrew Zimmern's Bizarre Foods) detailing stinky tofu and the process of how it's made, and in particular the restaurant called Dai's House of Unique Stink, I wondered why anyone would eat that and how it could possibly be popular. Pretty wild.
I'm all for different cultures doing their thing, but I will never, ever eat any animal's guts or other nasty parts willingly or knowingly.
Not really gross, but definitely bad for you, one of my favorite foods is a good double cheeseburger. Fast food in general isn't all that great, but Five Guys has one of the best burgers I've ever had. I'm also another fan of the minis like Krystal and White Castle.
Also, pizza. Like Blooddrinker, I will eat anything even closely resembling pizza. It could be a frozen one, one from a shitty chain restaurant, or one from the even shittier local joint. Even slop like those Totino's Mexican pizzas or Pizza Rolls.
It's definitely not gross but I feel I should mention that I am a newcomer to tofu pad thai and I absolutely love it.

I had a pig's blood dish before and liked it, but then my friend told me what it was. it was tasty, but I never could bring myself to eat it again.
