I have a Dakine backpack. It is awesome. Laptop sleeve, felt sunglass pocket, ipod pocket. You name it its got it. ne thing I would suggest if you get a backpack is check and see if the sleeve for the laptop goes all the way to the bottom of the bag or is suspended to where if you set the bag down the laptop won't touch the ground.

not to say Bailey Bag Works aren't great, I know dudes that have them forever, I have just had good look with my Timbuk2 messenger that is still holding strong after 8 years and several trips around the world...

I agree with you on the Timbuk2 as well. They do make a quality bag, and I did have one when i was a messenger.

I liked the material and color selection a bit more from Bailey and made the switch :)

I don't know about laptops, but I'm still using my Timbuk2 from years ago when I was a messenger. I ride with it on my back year round (in Portland mind you) and it still keeps the contents dry, even though the canvas gets totally soaked now.

Personally, I love Brenthaven bags... solid, comfortable, and well insulated with lots of storage for peripherals and other stuff.

I got the DC/Incase backpack from the apple store on regent street and love it. I use a incase websuit material pouch with it too. It was pricey but I use it everyday, so cost per day works out nicely!
