 AAAAAAAHHHH!!!
I am not having any good luck with alot of my Skullbrain deals lately.
I myself these days am perpetually very busy. I run the family business, my newly born toy company, my side job doing illustration work and balance all that with my own family (wife, 9 yr old son and a seven month old baby) life. That's pretty darn busy if ya ask me. With all that I still manage to list a couple of items on Ebay. Check my profile (rodecas) and you'll see that I pay very quickly and I also pack items well and ship very fast. If for some rare instance I left behind a package to be shipped that day I contact the buyer and let him/her know about it. This is because I feel it's my obligation to do so, specially for buyers who for the most part pays right away.
If I pay for something quickly I expect the same courtesy. OK so your busy,, ya got exams youre swamped at work, your wife keeps forgetting, your car broke down, your cat looked at you funny and wont let you outta the door. OK things like that happen,, I'm cool wit dat..BUT DONT TELL ME YOURE SENDING IT OUT ON SO AND SO DATE, NOT SEND IT FOR XXX REASON, WAIT A WEEK OR SO FOR ME TO SEND A MESSAGE ASKING WHERE MY STUFF IS AND TELL ME RIGHT THERE AND THEN THAT YOU HAVN'T SET IT OUT AND THAT YOU'LL SEND IT OUT AS SOON AS YOU CAN!!!
THAT DRIVES ME CRAAAAAZZZYYYYY!!!! How busy can you be to take what? one, two minutes to notify somebody that there was a delay sending your stuff out and expect a delay. I'm busy too and I do it!! I mean COME THE HELL ON MANG!!!
Now mind you this is not one transaction I'm reffering to..We're talking FOUR separate deals here from four individuals for this month.. YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE!! I still have some love fo you guys but COME ON NOW!! ..
Bottom line. If a person was cool enough to be able to get you your cash for your latest sale item. Be kind enough to send said cool dude/dudette a notice if there is a delay in shipping. Better yet, honor the dates you say it's gonna be sent out.
It's a big bummer when you expect something to arrive at your door and NOT,, just to find out it hasn't even been sent out yet...and you only find out cause you asked....
Whew....OK I needed to vent...Sorry for the hard read. You may comment or go on with your regularly scheduled program.

No. That's a lie. The only thrill is getting mail every other day, waiting sucks!

I had this very same thing happen to me on the unmentionable board from one of their praised memebers. Waited a week and a half and received nothing. Sent pm to find out " I will be shipping it out tomorrow" So lame. Have had excellent transactions here though.
GET THIS MAN HIS CRAP.

I guess I can understand where you are coming from, but by the same token I think it pays to have a little patience. I'm not saying you haven't been, and this isn't solely directed at you. I've actually had some opposite experiences lately where people PMed me like 2 days after they paid me with messages of IT'S NOT HERE YET WHERE IS IT?!!!!
I never really understand when people send you PMs/messages/emails and are like "DID YOU SEND IT YET?!" I don't think I've ever done that to any seller, but once, and I waited like weeks.
in an instance like that, where it's been a really long time, I can understand. but I mean, you're right, some of us do have lives, and to some of us this is a hobby, albeit a pretty intense one. but toys aren't the first thing I think about when I wake up in the morning most days (only some). I think a lot of people around here seem awfully anxious to get their stuff. just relax, it'll get there. read a book, occupy your time with some other than waiting like a ravenous dog by the mailbox.
it's so easy to pay for stuff with paypal, it's like you don't even think about it. now I'm not saying it's hard to box stuff up or anything, it's not backbreaking work. but it is a little more complicated to get everything packed and go to the PO than it is to click "pay now" so to say "I paid you in a fast manor so now you do the same" isn't necessarily fair. I could go and pay like 20 different people in 2 minutes right now, but I wouldn't expected 20 people to rush out to the post office tomorrow and send my stuff.
I'm sure you'll all think I'm nuts when I say this but...SOMETIMES I GET PACKAGES AND DON'T EVEN OPEN THEM FOR DAYS!!! THEY JUST SIT THERE AND I DON'T EVEN CARE!!!
this isn't meant to be against anyone or anything, sometimes I'm just amazed with the level of impatience by some of the folks here. and I'm from the East Coast no less, where no one has any patience.

yeah, I stopped expecting packages a long time ago. now instead of being disappointed when they don't arrive, I am pleasantly surprised when I come home and there's a box. most of the time I think "oh yeah, I forgot I even bought this"

Wait in the power of knowing what is possible.... Do not waver.... Remain steady... Remain true to your goals and allow life to carry you. That which is worthwhile is sometimes created slowly.
*That's the nice japanese way to say it. My east coast rude way is "stop your whining, its coming. get a grip. toys are not the most important thing in the world. They'll get there when they get there."
A week to wait is nothing in the grand scheme of things. it will be on your shelf forever.

I have to be honest. When I receive "Did you send it yet??" PMs, not only does it annoy me, but it makes me LESS likely to run to the PO to ship something.
Have some faith in the folks you deal with, or don't deal with them at all. Plus, dang what's another week or two when it's all said, done, and tallied, ya know?

i disagree with the posts saying that he should just have to wait and quit being impatient. if you post something for sale, you should make sure that you have the time to send it promptly when paid for by the buyer. just my opinion.

Robert, I've been having similar problems here with certain transactions but I'm waiting them out just a bit longer (not long enough to make filing disputes impossible mind you). I hear what you're saying 100%. Every transaction I've had here up until now has been tight, spot on. Patience is one thing, waiting a month or so without things showing up is completely different. Best of luck to you (and me for matter).

i just tell anyone i sell to that is going to be a few days before i can send it.
as in everyday life, i lower people's expectations of me, and from there i can only live up to or exceed my standards

I agree that it's all about communication. If I have an idea of what to expect, time-wise, that's fine. But waiting a week+ with no idea is frustrating; I start to wonder if it's been forgotten about. That said, 99.9% of my transactions on this board have been remarkable in their expediency.

okay, I will agree with the communication aspect. yeah, you should be kept in the know as to the status of it all. I'll absolutely agree with that. most people are probably posting here on a daily basis anyway, and if you're not too busy to post, then you're not to busy to send someone a PM.
but I still have noticed some crazy cases of impatience around here.

I think that states it very well. It is very frustrating when you have been waiting 2 weeks and have nothing in hand and haven't heard antyhing from the seller especially when you see them on and posting day after day after day. A simple pm saying "hey been busy haven't gotten a chance to get to the po" is all it takes.
I just think that when you spend money on something you have the right to know what is going on with your product. Especially if you spent some coin on it.

As I read it, it's not a week's delay that is a problem for Robert - it's board members who say they will do something and then don't follow through.

i'm not always the most punctual about mailing stuff either. sometimes i'm really quick with it and sometimes i'm not. i used to be really bad when i had my own record label, but i think i do better job at mailing out toys and shit when i sell them.
now i just need to package up some guys that i am trading and get them to the PO.

It's also annoying when people pm for a sale item, saying they want it, then lag on payment, or flake. Shows a lack of consideration.
This post might be about you as well, skullstar.

I always let people know that for the two days after payment I will be on the pipe, then i need a day or two to recover, then i'll think about sending the toy out

There is a toy I paid for on July 16th that I still haven't received yet.
I think when people post stuff for sale, they should have the supplies and means to ship it the following day.

I agree. The post office has free boxes. You can grab as many as you want.
I personally think if you are ready to sell something you should be ready to ship it. Or at the very least let the person know that it's going to take a few days to get supplies.
I've bought stuff on this board and feel fortunate that everything I've purchased as arrived super quickly. So thanks to those members!.
