 Another Matango custom: Mami
I did this piece for an art show coming up called "Vintage Beauty Monster".
I still have the eyes, lips, eyebrows and necklace to paint in, but its pretty much all there. Its about 18inches tall
Thought maybe other matango fans would dig seeing it. It turned out alot weirder than I had planed.

Nightmares for the rest of my life (in a good way).
I like the colors you chose a lot. It really does remind me of some ugly retro 60's woodland sculpture crap that my grandma had. I mean that in the best way possible, of course.
Are you painting the head post?

Thanks for all the props. Here she is completed. I cant decide which version I like better. I'll be doing more color variations once I resculpt and make a mold of the base.

That is brilliant! I liked the completed version much better (and I loved the unfinished one!).
This must be after she caved and ate the 'shrooms, I see the color creeping into her flesh...
Superb work!!

She was the 'Ginger' type character in the movie 'Matango', which I'm convinced Sherwood Shwartz based 'Gilligan's Island' upon... All the same Archetypes are there, as is the shipwreck,
Polyestercowboy----is this thing ceramic?

That's just freakin me out...
Growing up we had horror stories of women that, at night, would separate their head from their body and fly around eating lost people.
