Cool little bootleg dinos- "Kaiju vs. Kyoryu." Too funny. I'm surprised that I didn't have more bootleg kaiju mixed in among the cheapie vinyl dinos that I collected when I was a kid.

These Butanohana dino figures look very retro, I like them a lot! I have a couple of their Ultraman kaiju but I didn't know they made these also. Is it possible to purchase these direct from the Butanohana website? Any help on how to obtain these figures would be much appreciated!

Does anyone have any info about this range of dinosaurs produced by Marusan? I only have this one which has the ST (Safety Toy) symbol on the header. The figure measures about 10 inches in length and is painted with silver, metallic blue and crimson spray. The eyes are painted gold.

I have the Iguanadon from Buhtanoh they're great! Dirt Cheap (for Kaiju) and tons of fun. On the far left over there...

Hey Spacemonkey,
You can purchase from the Butanohana site with the help of Celga.

After seeing Jim's impressive dino collection, I got interested in getting some myself and this is the set I began to focus on. They are made by Marusin as marked on the body. I believe this is a latter incarnation of Marusan. Perhaps Roger could shed some light on this. I have some standards and minis. Pretty sure the Alosaurus also comes in a standard but not sure if the Styracosaurus and Anklysaurus come in minis. I am pretty sure there is a very rare Mammoth from this set as well. I would also appreciate any more info on these guys.

Mark those are fantastic! I did get the small Marusan Brontosaurus you gave me the heads up on, thank you so much! How long is the big Brontosaurus in your pic?
These dinos are inspiring me to build some sort of diorama for them all.
I'm really enjoying this thread, I hope more folks do some digging for dinos!

The larger bronto is 28cm long. It is the same one spacemonkey66 has. The backing card is cool I'll post a scan later. Glad you scored that mini. I have a few more dinos to post, but my wife has our camera and won't be back until Friday. I love this thread too.

See, i think some of these should be made into vinyls.
I have a few larger versions. As a child before i could find real vinyl kaiju or knew they existed, these are what i would play with.
I used to call the bug one a "toilet lizard"
I remember an episode of "Futurama" where they went to a vet's office and one of the guys in the waiting room had one on a leash!
anyway...
Anyone have any ARK dinos?
i have one, no pic yet.
but I think also scored some of thoese Butanohana fetal birds.
Those are my fave of the dinos.

Hey Jim, I know I asked you this before but...
I have a 5-inch T-Rex Takatoku vinyl. You mentioned there were a few more in this series. Do you have a pick of them all? Did they come individually bagged or on a card?

You all might already know this, but their website has amazing stuff. Appears to be Japan only though.

Mark, regarding the relationship between Marusan and Maruzan and Marushin, I've been trying to track that down. Nobody seems to know for sure, but I'm still digging.
That Styracosaur is simply amazing. I love all of these dinos, but that one is the king of them.
