It was the coolest thing at Toy Karma IMO. I'm just shocked the piece is being butchered

If you think about it, wall mounting takes less room than putting the figs on a shelf

Yeah, I'm just bummed to see such a completely amazing one-off dissected. It seems that Gargamel most likely intended the case to stay with the set ...when I saw that thing on the preview site I just stared for almost a half hour, drooling.
Having said that I'll probably bid myself, but nothing would compare to having it as a full piece...
oh yeah, is it against the rules to have the link?

I remember that set went for crazy money. I would think you would want to keep the one shot zags separate & not mixed in with other figures. And if this set were to be traded or sold, not having the shelf/case might decrease the value to a hard core collector.

I don't see the attraction of this piece once it's been dismantled. All you're left with is a handful of the same figure - i doubt you could make those zags look any cooler than they already did in the lit wall case IMO. That said if one of you guys gets ahold of it, it'd be a eff'n sweet way to display a few choice figures - clear or clear- coloured vinyl would look so sweet....

Same, but subtly different colorations.
The case is rad though and custom built specifically for these figs. Seems a shame to split it up.

To each there own but the illumination in the case looks like it was made to enhance the subtleties of the clear tinting . . . without it i'm thinkin' the effect would be kinda lost! . . . s'kind of a shame if/when the lil' guys get sold on!
Not copying honest! . . . I musta typed this whlst Turtlegod was posting the above . . .

I actually thought "too bad" because I thought it was for the whole set and that he really must have needed the money if it came down to this. Than I relaxed a little knowing it's just the case.

I thought the shelf was the coolest thing about this. the rest was a little yawnsville for the kind of dough it went for.
Too bad to see it broken up like this in any case.

this is a respected board member who Im pretty sure doesnt need the money. maybe he felt it just looked better displayed among other zags and felt it would go to a better home. It is just a really really reallly nice header and bag

I don't see the big deal in selling this. I personally don't like the way it looks and would've bought the set for the figures alone, and not the display.

I don't see it as a big deal so much as just kinda weird. If I spent that money, I'd just keep the case anyway even if I wasn't all too hot on it. I actually like the case, I think it's a cool idea.
