I know, huh? I don't like trading off proportionality and posture for articulation. Articulation is cool, but I don't exactly play with these things - I don't have them throwing punches and kicks like I did with Transformers/GI Joe/etc, I just like them to look good on a shelf.
I keep coming back to look at the photos, hoping to like it more. But it just looks so "wooden" to me. Maybe a photo with the arms raised would help? I might still pick one up just to see if something wins me over when in-hand.

All this dislike just means more for me (and others who love it). \"\"

I have to say that I really like the large skull, it's pretty unique since most neo-kaiju toys with skulls have them pretty understated and smaller. I think it's a welcomed change having a big one -- It would definitely stand out, that's for sure.

Agreed on all accounts. I like the big ass skull, dwarf-like proportions make it cooler/weirder to me.

I just don't like toys TOO small either, and the originals are just tiny for me. I know lots of folks here prefer minis, but like BB said, more for me (or us)!!!!

Generally I hate minis. I was a little disappointed with the size of Galtan at first. But the sculpt kicks so much ass that I am no longer disappointed.
When I heard that a standard size Galtan was available I was very excited...now, not so much. But again, I'll reserve final judgement until I've either seen more photos or have one in hand.

8 pieces being the number of individual parts, not the run size, fortunately.

Says that it will be sold end of October, early November. No preorders, no set price, spray color subject to change.

Hmm, Garimpo's photos look really good. Maybe just one...

Hhmm, I wonder what the eight parts are...

Skull- 1
Torso- 1
Legs- 2
Arms- 2

You would think that the claws would be the other two separate parts, with joints at the wrist- but the photos don't seem to indicate that clearly.

In any case, I love that he has the hip joints...I love it when toys can be displayed sitting down.

I think the last two are the little arms. If you look at the back shot, they seem to be articulated.

The pictures are killing me. It's like evidence that these things exist, somewhere, out there. But that we won't see any production ones for some time to come.

The wrist articulation helps! And I'm liking the unpainted black one a bit more.

I'm undecided on it. Six inches would have been an ideal height for the first sculpt in my opinion. Kinda liking the black more because it's more subtle and mysterious at that size.

Skulls are played out in my opinion. The smaller sculpt seems more subtle in a sea of figures while the standard size ones might to be too prominent and not mesh.
