Yeah I was going kinda stealth that night. Not much of a smoozer. I like to be a wallflower and watch people - and let me say - you people are some mother fucking interesting people to observe.

Hahahaha, you did have that "I am observing" look if you don't mind my saying so. I felt badly 'cause per usual Pogue was very friendly but I'm not sure if he knows I'm "xoco" ... I was too overwhelmed by the crowd and the customs to be more social. I saw setyourgoals and rhinomilk there too ... very cool dudes. Ben, I think we did see each other but there was a big table and a bunch of people hoarding Nathan J. toys between us. I think I figured out who Playdohpunk is but again, feeling too crowd-shy to walk up and ask "are you playdoh?" Imagine being wrong. "No. My name is not 'playdoh' you geek." Gatchabert I'll be there Saturday morning for sure. It'll be a smaller crowd so I won't be in stealth mode.

That's what I'm thinking too since there's a book signing later that evening.

Hey I have a "grumpy bastard" reputation to uphold here!

I do need people to tell me their board names or I am kinda clueless.

Sorry Glenn, I'll make a point of it next time, especially if you happen to be in a grumpy mode. :-)

Is Pogue the guy we have to thank for the great show? Terrific job, man. I got there late, but I'm glad to have met Locomoco and Mangakaben. I saw Pogue (recognized him from a photo I saw someplace), but he was so engaged with the crowd that I didn't get to introduce myself.

I'll tell you what, I don't particularly like many of the base figures that were customized for the show, but several of those customs were so beautiful, I was blown away. For instance, I'm not a fan of the Skullwing, but Locomoco's blood red version, well, the red was so intense, I couldn't stop looking at it. P.K.'s frosty blue Hedoran and RxH set have to be seen in person to be believed. The photos I've seen of them, although good, do not do them justice. The sublteties of the masking on the Hedoran and the color fades are awesome. I only wish I could have handled them for a better look. I could go on and on, but I think you get the idea. If I wasn't flat broke, I'd have bought one of Ben's Bunny Zags, too.

I believe it was $300. That figure kicks ass. I think.

It pre-sold, don't know who bought it. I think the price was $1200 but I'm not sure.

It's going to be on the 19th Friday. So the release of the figure will be at 11am this Saturday.

I believe the piece will be on display for a month, and will then be shipped out to their eager new owners. :D
