Dehara, Zarriganworks, AKIRA WAKUI at Zakka in Brooklyn
Zakka in NYC has moved to DUMBO in brooklyn, but the real new is they have Dehara Cakees
Akira Wakui - Storm Street Zero figures
and my personal favorite these hand made wooden robots from Zarrigan Works
Liking the boxes that look like Soul of Chogokin!
They're like $35-$40 too.

 RE: Zakka
Not to hate on Zakka but they've not updated their site in a really really long time. I remember a year ago doing google searches trying to find Dehara Yukinori toys and the Zakka site would always pop up. Nice to see a ton of pics of Dehara toys you can't buy online. Arrgghhh it got quite frustrating.

I remember seeing that Medicom 10000t robot guy when I first got into this hobby. Love his colors and evil look.

Toshi from Zakka used to come to Chiller all the time. Haven't seen him in a while, he's a good egg.
One thing about Kore Janai ("That's Not It!") Robo - the originals were made of wood, but the boxed ones with the Medicom logo are actually plastic. They're a riot, though:

(Check out that awesome packaging!)

ToyTokyo had this problem as well.
I remember searching for Kaws figures in 2003 and getting pages where I could actually order stuff. They would call me later and apologize.

Zakka was the only place where you could buy a design book, incense, a CD of Truetype fonts, and vinyl kaiju all in one stop. Only in New York.

Ha, Monsterism is where I started too. Too bad I didn't have much money for collecting back then, I 'd love to have a set of all series so far. I did manage to get some cool ones from series 1, though...
