That's the UK postal service, if I recall, right?
A recent package sent to me from the UK also never arrived, and I have heard the same happening to other pacakges sent overseas from the UK.
In my way of thinking the post is sacrosanct and the service vital to a country's economy and standing. When packages disappear in large numbers, well, there's just no excuse, and the damage is potentially serious.
I hope things get sorted out soon with the situation there.

funny,,,i am HATING parcel force right now too!!!!!!!.....
they stopped my package from garimpo & now i have to pay £22 to get it released to me...and it was posted EMS two weeks ago (but got held up in all the post strike happenings)....
what gets me is that i have received a package from garimpo before & they understood how to fill out the customs form correctly ( ) ....so,,,it arrived with no hassle....not sure about this time though,,,garimpo seemed to clearly understand....
what even stings more,,,,about £14 of the £22 is not even customs duties/taxation/VAT but a f**king "parcelforce clearance fee"...thiefs!!!
for andy,, there has been two seperate postal strikes in the last week and a half....so that might account for any delay on your end....
as much as i I FART A LOT,,in years of sending & receiving records & toys they have never lost anything (just a bit delayed every now & then )

The only package I ever sent out that's been lost was to the UK. I didn't know it was a reoccuring problem. The postal workers there must be into vinyl.

I have pretty much no time at all for Parcelforce or Royal Mail as companys.
The people who deliver my packages and post are fine - no issues as a rule with them, i just disagree with the disgusting charges levied on packages purely to "handle" them - surely that's what they're paid to do anyway.

Wow, two strikes in two weeks...Merde, I hope everything gets straightened out soon! In the past, I can't say I've had issues with stuff being sent to or from Blighty, so I'm thinking the recent slew of missing (or absurdly delayed) packages must be largely related to the strikes.
I feel for you guys with the VAT customs situation. I've heard some blood curdling stories of what you guys get charged.
Well, since we're weighing in on postal services, I'm going to say Taiwan's really kicks ass by and large. I take some pride in my adopted home's outgoing parcel track record. Same goes for ingoing record for the most part.
Plus, the rates are 30-50% less than what the USPS charges for comparable international postal services, so boom chackalacka lemme yank that feather out of your cap, havingmysay.

What?! No comments on the glorious Canadian postal service? Want to talk about poor service... no one holds a candle to them.
I've shipped all over the world and have found the Japanese system to be very proficient. The US is nominal ( more likely to be swiped if UPS or FED-EX ) damage being the biggest gripe. And most of Europe hit or miss.
Side bar: Many years ago my mom tested for the USPS, she aced the test, but didin't get hired. So she went to med school and became a doctor. Go figure, giving up a lucrative career like that. Sheesh.

unreal ..when i pointed out that the reason it is shipped with tracking is so, y'know you can track it he just said we deal with 9,000 parcels a day some are bound to get lost.
I am now zombie blobless and fucking bummed out.
