IKEA has the detolf cases - check the website to see if one is near you

Other than that any case will do as long as you like it - keep an eye out for store closings that liquidate glass cases - jewelery stores and what not

definitely don't plan on shipping a detolf from ikea

the shipping costs will end up more than the case itself

Yeah. The Detolf cost about $60. To ship it it's about $165 on top of that. You read right...approximately $220-$235 with all charges and that's not even talking taxes. Basically if you pick one up it's worth it. Here's a crappy photo of my shit in a Detolf.

There is another section in the bottom of these 3 but you get the idea.

I'm still having fantasies of smashing detolfs with an axe handle, top to bottom, in one fluid motion.

I find Twisty Ties (like you use to tie up garbage bags) through the truck holes work the best, that or long zip ties...

art of skateboarding has some awesome ones that are basically invisible.
if there are no truck holes in it ,like some of the pushead decks are, you might try making a custom shadowbox. I know some people whove made plexi glass ones or padded ones.

I don't care for Deltofs, I've never owned one. They just look sterile. No fun. Than again, I'm not much of one for covering my stuff, I just get some canned air and dust once a week. I like em' freeeeee!

i had a mirror cut to fit the outside back of my detolf. 100% improvement. still though, i dont like the lighting or the gaps that allow in so much dust. and the edges take away from the images.

i was in a furnishings store the other day that had a type of plexiglass cabinet. about the same hight but cylindical and oval, seeled and with a key lock door. really nice but around $300-$400. but really nice!

i really want something more shallow, but most of my toys are 12" and over, so the shelves have to be taller-any thoughts appreciated!

Detolfs arent too bad. You just have to be creative with it. I ordered 8 detolfs and shipping (if memory servs me) was alil over $200. bucks. I have an old tread somewhere here about it..

I also have an old Toys R Us display case. BIG and solid like a tank about 6.5' tall x 8'-2" wide x 24" deep. TRUs was remodeling in the mid 90s and was throwing em all away.
