Post Mook ?
It's still on the home page as coming out in June.... We've been talking about it for almost a year.... It's now mid October and still no Mook, we've been shown a dummy product to whet our appetites, but the question remains: What is the OFFICIAL release date of the Mook ?
Not trying to be snippy here, but it's been a VERY long wait.

It's definitely been a very long wait and now that it's half way through October (the most concrete release 'date' so far) we have about another two weeks to wait, I'm guessing.

I said it before and I'm saying it again...

oh ye of little faith. all worthy things take time. some longer than others...and some things are beyond our control.

I believe everyone will be STOKED when the Mook arrives.

I know patience is hard. But it's a virtue. So let's try some.

If it will make you feel better, mine was running out until SDCC 07 and I got to gaze upon the mock up and the slip case.

Faith was more than renewed.

Question about future issues - will they be released on schedule, or are these delays expected on future releass just because it's a less regular release schedule than the quarterly? Basically, is the delay due to this being the first issue, or is this to be expected due to the new format?
Not that I'm upset about having to wait - just curious.

I think this first Mook with be the holy bible of Mooks! From what Brian said, they are going to be massive! Good things come to those who wait! And to those who have a lot of cash! :D

Total bummer, but it happens. Patience is a virtue that I have never learned, myself. Will continue to look forward eagerly to the mook's arrival.

lol exactly what I was thinking :)

All I do is think that there is no mook, and when it does pop up it will be like a free surprise gift in the mail.

Untill it comes out, as far as I'm concerned there is no such thing as this "mook" you people speak of.

Are the delays due to production errors? If so, I hope you guys don't go with the same place that the first / upcoming one is coming from.

On the other hand, why not subscribe? $45 for two magazine-books of Super7 quality is a good deal!

the book is at the printer, and we have proofed it. It is actually printed as we speak, and will be here by mid-november at the latest, but the binding takes lots of time. Look for the updated blog to have printing process photos in the next couple days. It will be like pulling vinyl from a mold, except it is a giant stack of printouts instead.

The book is over 4x larger than anything we have done previously, plus, we have not skimped on any production details. If we were real book dealers, we would be retailing them at $80 based on our cost, but we are not real book dealers, we are toy nerds that want the best book possible, so, we have been delayed by not accepting anything less than perfection in this book. You will not be disappointed with the outcome!

Having said all that.... is this something you're going to want to continue putting yourself thru once/twice a year ?

yep, it won't stop us from making it. The choices were all ours to have it grow to this point, and I really like it. In the end, I would prefer to make amazing items once or twice a year vs. good items 4 times a year. It has been a learning curve, that is for sure!
