so what are peoples thoughts on that gid new obake sheet? to me it's kindda weak. the plain painted features on the gid are just real uninspiring. i want to see some more innovative paint apps on that sculpt before it can even come close to the wow factor of the old obake sheet.

I agree. The yellow/red just looks kind of silly to me. I'm sure it'll shape up soon. There are much better paint apps that can be done.

I like the old obake sheet much more. This paint job makes me dislike the new one even more. Wish they would focus and innovate on the classics. THe GID set is great. The Last Legend Pumpkin is great.

I agree with you - I LOVE the Last Legend Pumpkin - superby simple, and great that teh body keeps on glowing after teh LED goes off. The GID set is a must have multiple times over as well!
Innovate on teh classics, well I guess thats what the new ghost sculpt is about - love it or hate it - like I said elsewhere, Hiddy's idea is that it is supposed to be fun and cartoonish. Whiel I like teh idea of innovating on the classics, I personally wouldn't want to see classics like teh Bee and brain be altered in any way, apart form maybe a 12" suit re-interpretation of teh brain - just too much of a stick in teh mus purist when it comes to these I guess.

By innovate on the classics, I mean keep the classic sculpts but do something new with them. The GID sets are ingenious (and profitable) cause I'm sure people will want ot buy more than one to have complete GID figures. The LED in the LL Pumpkin is a fresh new effect. The SDCC Secreter was a nice return.
When you take chances on new stuff, I guess you're bound to take some risks and have some stuff backfire or take a while for some to warm up to.

OK, got it! The amoeba sets were a good example of a cool new idea that worked...until it became a bit over used.
Risks are good - unexpected things happen - and one man's meat is anothers poison. I need to see teh obake u close, just like I do with most toys, until I can make a decision.

Not sure what color the SkullBBB is. Maybe it's just the same parts as the lil' set thingy. I am hoping it is something totally different.
